Thought Moraes looked alright in the 5mins of the Magpies that I watched. So did Lorenz.

Not sure where they fit though.

Marshall, Bergman and Wines are easy selections and will make the team better.

Badly missed some class around the ball. Burgoyne was in the centre. That’s a true break-glass option there.

Lol Moraes for Mackinlay is exchanging piss for piss but I'm still for it.

Moraes at least has footy IQ, there’s still some scope to mould him into a foot soldier.

I'd take Moraes over plenty of guys who played for us today. Not only does he have more upside than the likes of Mackinlay and Wehr but he's probably better than them right now too.

Durdin 2 goals a game is staying
DBJ 15 possessions 9 Score Involvements a goal and a couple of forward 50 tackles and one that should have been paid that would have resulted in a goal.
Berry very poor today but do we learn anything by playing him in the SANFL.
Richards is the pick of the 4 small forwards. So not sure who goes, maybe MacKinlay and push Richards up to the wing. I would actually get Richards and Luko to share a wing and tell Wehr to play the defensive wingman. Does have a moving of the deck chairs feeling though.

Backline is.. screwed.. No way I'd bring BZT in and who else is there for Sav? Walsh, nope. Moss? injured stil or big gamble.. Ramm still out ffs.. So play Marshall and Aliir with Bergs and fingers crossed. Lai did good things but still..
Jones id rather not unless he goes forward which he could be good there but for who and who takes his spot? Mead? LOL I never want to see Mead in that backline ever again... depth as a half forward player and that's it.

Meh.. List is F'ed.. id hoped they'd be better off this season but this is just beyond the joke now.

Our midfield has fell away extremely quickly. Drew has been very poor for 2 years now. Watkins is pretty much a full time midfielder for us and at AFL level I dont think hes a long term viable option. When Butters goes it becomes very thin.

Seemed to put the more “established” players on notice so he very well could swing the axe.

How many years have we been saying this?

Well unfortunately we have him on a contract and Carr is stuck with him for this year.
So I sort of see trying him down back in these early games to see if they can’t squeeze something out of him.
The experiment has failed.
Time to send him back to the SANFL for the rest of the season and delist him at seasons end.
If he plays again it’s going to look very bad on Carr as a coach.
