Agree we need to get rid of those who we know won't be part of future success. But who cares if the Crows grab a flag in the next year or too. Let's concentrate on us for a change and not worry about them. If they are good enough to win one ahead of Gold Coast, Hawthorn or the bulldogs in the next couple of years good luck to them because those 3 clubs I think have equal if not better lists than adelaide and certainly better head coaches than Adelaide's current one
Becasue if you are a true POrt supporter, then your hate for them is almost as much as your lvoe for us.

So yes, I do, and would have thought, most do care if they happen to jag their next one before we do, especially wiht all the wasted Hinkley years when we did have a team who could do it. That bulldogs and Rchmond prelim final losses spring to mind.

Just on the 2-3 year turnaround... in 2 years Zemes Pilot will be a lanky 18 year old. He is extremely unlikely to have a serious impact until he is 22 or 23, that's 6 or 7 years away.

If we're serious about these incoming draftees I just don't see how its not a longer rebuild, even if we do everything right.
Pilot is mobile enough to have a big impact on a flank while he develops the size to be a key pillar.

I think Farrell should play on the wing and replace Wehr. At least Farrell does something with his kicks unlike Wehr.

Move Burgoyne down half-back. He is far more defensively accountable than Farrell.

Lukosius replaces Mackinlay on the wing.
What's Lai's engine like? Can he play on the wing?

For me, Wehr has shown nothing in 3 AFL games and a pre-season game. At 27 years old, i'm not keen to waste any development time on him.

I'd rather play Moraes, Mackinlay and any other player that has more development left.

He is slightly better than Mead, in that he seems to be less fumbly and can run more, but there's not much more than that.

Lai's engine is nowhere near it yet. I can hardly remember seeing a player look so cooked in the last quarter.

Of course Rat gong down didn't help.

That’s common for debutants. Too much adrenaline and not enough sleep in the 24hrs before. He’ll be much better for the experience.

I understand but reality is they are likely to make another granny with were there list is at. They too have had missed opportunities and obviously I would prefer they didn't
But I'm not going to go for the razor blades if they win one it should make us even more determined to succeed.

Is Rat a confirmed out? I thought BZT was close until i saw McBean tear him a new one in the two's on the weekend. I don't think he can be picked based on that.
BZT should never be in AFL contention unless it’s really dire with the key defensive stocks.

No point dropping youngsters for older guys unless they are returning from injury.

Wehr is too small and thin for the modern day wing position which is basically the athletic outside 800 metre runner.

Play 2 rucks so Whitlock can stay forward for the whole game. Unfortunately, Lucoscious is so disappointing as a forward so far. How many marks can a player drop in 1 game!

DBJ can f off, he is so unbelievably average

Out: DBJ, Mead, Rata (injury), Wehr, MacKinley and Brodie
In: Zadow, Bergman, Marshal, Moraes, Lorenz and Wines

Lai must stay in, if he gets dropped instead of Mead, i will lose my faith in Carr.

I’ve seen enough of Mackinlay, Wehr & Mead to know they’re State League players at best. We might get away with carrying one each week, but certainly not all three.

Carr has to commit to playing Lai & Zadow for the rest of the year, as both possess elite traits worth preserving with.

Bergmann, Marshall and Wines could make a difference if they are fit and if fit they will all be picked. Outside of those three there isn't too much in the SANFL.

I like the idea of Luko to the wing as I am not sure where he fits so we might as well try him on the wing. Wehr doesn't have any depth to his game. Wehr gets a bit of the ball often enough but he doesn't want to kick it more than 20 metres.

There is zero benefit in rushing anyone back this year. If they’re not 100% fit, don’t play them.
