No one is really busting their gut in the VFL right now

You might see Ridley and Edwards in and a few kids undeservedly dropped again, but that’ll be it.

He isn’t a coach that takes any consideration at all into actual form

If we have any luck there will be potentially a lot of availabilities for the Melbourne game the week after this one. Robey, Ridley, Caddy, Sharpe, Clarke etc. On notice would be Gresham, Guelfi, Mackay, Perkins, Parish and plenty of others!

We've picked the one guy who put his hand up in the VFL last week (Edwards), and even then he may not be ready after only one game back from an ACL injury. Robey's not ready yet and neither is Bryan.

We have no depth. It's why we're in the predicament that we're in. We can't "swing the axe" like all of you want without bringing players who are gonna be worse than the people they're replacing.

Also, most of you would still find reasons to complain about whoever we play in place of a guy like Langford or Wright or Parish or whoever. You're seriously telling me you'd praise a guy like Tsatas when he shanks kicks and performs basically the same as he always does? Don't make me laugh.

We're in a rebuild and probably gonna win the spoon or at least finish in the bottom four again. That's the reality of the situation. It's gonna get a whole lot worse before it gets better. If you can't handle that, maybe it's time to check out for a bit and come back when we draft Bewick at the end of 2027. Or shit, pick up a second or third team so you've got somebody to watch who wins every week while we're getting torched by the rest of the competition. Do something more productive than posting the same posts every week about Brad's gotta go or we need to drop blank or we should've traded Merrett, etc. I like posting here but a lot of the discourse is getting a wee bit tiresome.

Anyway, we're probably gonna lose on Sunday night. But I've got hope we can beat them. Maybe.

Lots of different criteria for what makes a performance good.

Is it effort, is it least mistakes?

not dropping players because you don’t trust their backups is hardly conducive to selection pressure and raising standards that way

I'm not too critical of the 'non-changes'
Ridley by the sounds of it was pretty underdone and only had 7 touches in a half or whatever. So giving him 3qtr's of a game or a full game in the VFL would probably be better for his season as a whole.
Robey still underdone - we all want to see him soon but by the sounds of it could really do with another couple of matches in the VFL.
Bryan only just coming back to VFL

Fiorini and Caddy unavailable fair enough.

Bringing Edwards in is a bit concerning so I hope the medical staff know what they are doing.

But basically i don't see any point in letting more kids experience a Bulldogs flogging. If we had good experienced players that were fit and ready then sure yeah bring them in but we don't and its not worth bringing guys like Ridley underdone. Nobody thinks we would win this game even if you added a fully fit version of all our injured players.
