It's a good comparison atm. It's all about confidence with these smaller players. Once they realise that they belong, they usually come good.

Don't underestimate the pain of losing the PF to the Cats. Hawks are where we were in 2022 when we lost a PF and determined not to do that again in 2023.

I think Freo too. They're pretty good. They won't lose many at home and have already played a couple of their tough away games and won one of them. I think they'll finish really high up the ladder. With a bit of luck, they'll finish top 2 with a couple of home finals away from a granny.

Carlton lost a prelim in 2023 as well but they’re determined to choke harder than Michael Hutchence every week now for our amusement
