Missing gettable chances in the last was very frustrating, we had enough momentum. Agree the midfield was down today.

Sorry to intrude but that mclcgagge free on Langford was weak as piss umpiring and gifted the Dees the win, I’m sure you guys will dust yourselves off and be primed for when it really matters in September but a disappointing way to drop points in the end.

looked likw an umpire looking for an excuse to pay a free.

Langford was nowhere near Andrews when he took an uncontested mark

I found it hard to name a Fab5, I went with Charlie Cameron, Logan Morris, Bruce Reville, Ty Gallop and Harris Andrews.

Answerth and Fletcher were terrible today. Answerth in the third quarter leaving his man to stand the mark was so dumb.

Needed it for his multi.

Poor performance . Who knows what it would've been without Andrews.

Andrews was 95% going to mark the ball anyway and it was a half block. Totally unnecessary.

Surprisingly we still had our opportunities to win it.

We lost it when we came out after half time as if we expected them to go away. Very sluggish.

As for Answerth we've done the same thing before haven't we . Don't care what the medicos say you need more time after what he copped.

How do you ‘deserve’ to get screwed by the maggots.

By playing so poorly that you let the game be close enough for an umpiring decision to influence it. Shouldn’t have mattered that Melbourne might have had the rub of the green.

Also **** off the Lasoo rule. I’m probably in the majority but it’s shit. I hate it.
I thought it was last disposal out is the lasso? Is a kick of the ground counted as a disposal or if it incidentally
brushes below your knee and out? Or an opposition player handballs it to below your knee and it goes out?

i'm OK with it. It never directly results in a shot on goal

I'm totally filthy with the 15 metre "rule" however.

Appllcation is almost random.

Especially when today, one umpire decided to be totally pedantic and ping us for HTB in our defensive 50, when from what I've seen so far this season they generally cut the receiver a bit of slack and ball it up .

How many times did Bailey run past instead of actually laying a tackle? It must’ve been at least half a dozen occasions, if not more.
This has to be Bailey’s worst effort yet. You could almost argue he’s checked out mentally and shifted into injury‑prevention mode.
Soft effort today.

Chris Fagan in his weekly presser said Noah was ready to go last week v North as he had passed all concussion protocols but they decided to give him an extra week.

On the full is on the full regardless.
But no a player does not get a stat if the ball incidentally brushes their leg unless it’s a goal.

I feel like Answerth's "internal clock" is not up to AFL standard and does a lot of hack kicks out of defence when they are not needed. In the preview thread someone unbelievably said he was a like for like replacement for Zorko.

Seems like Wilmot has taken the leap to the next level that many thought would happen to Fletcher.

It was as soft as it gets, and we'd never hear the end of it if the shoe was on the other foot.

So if it brushes below your knee and rolls over the boundary line between the arcs is that a lasso free kick against?
