Best game in years.

Suddenly remembered how to kick the football and make correct decisions when the goals weren’t in front of him.

Was noticeably our most damaging ball user out of half back today.

Based on today he’d be a better option than Daniel in the uncontested half back role, you can only carry one.

I've been roasing him since last year. Today I thought he played well. I get what you're saying but we had to try something and I'm glad we did.
The next 4 weeks will tell us a whole heap. I am excited to see it. I hope we can come away with 2 wins. I think at a minimum we have to roll GWS next week to show we have moved beyond this mess

Under quoting a bit there ferball - he was outstanding, both with intercept marks and play making
Dunno about outstanding. We were playing Richmond. If he plays games like that against the Swans or Brisbane then it'd be outstanding.

I honestly couldn't be happier tho. Maybe if he'd kicked one or two running off hbf ... but when he had the opportunity he hit up teammates in better positions who goaled. So that's better cos its team football.

Was very, very, very, very good today.

At the ground it was incredibly noticeable how much harder he worked today than I think I've seen him ever work as a forward.

Just didn't stop running all day and got himself into great positions.

If he has to play, it must be in defence! Worked and went hard all day, and our forwards benefited from him not crashing into them all day long

Nah, many will know I’m as hard on him as possible.

I thought he used the ball as well as anyone from half back all year.

His kicking was outstanding.

Which is completely bizarre, as he’s been statistically one of the very worst ball users forward of center in the league this year.

I want to see him back it up against good opposition.

One thing i did notice was how quickly he identified good targets and moved the ball on. He didn't hesitate when players were only just open. In the past other players have and the option was shut down.

if he keeps that up it'll be invaluable in moving the ball out of our back half.

Interesting to see Zurhaar as the spare in the backline late in the game.
I’ve always been frustrated at how often he goes missing in a game. With our abundance of half forwards would it help our backline if we played him down back permanently? Physically and mentally he reminds me of Archer senior. I’m thinking it would help strengthen what is a very ordinary backline.
Good to see Clarko is reading Big Footy and taking my advice.
