Giants apparently targeting 2 of Love, Styles, Downs and Tyson with picks 5 & 10.
Would love to see a trade down on one of those picks. Hear they're VERY keen on Tyson - they think he would go top 5 if not for the injuries. Does make me nervous...

Could go either way. Played overweight last year, but still the stats with the rest of the defence when he played vs when he didn't were pretty telling. Although his numbers were down, still a loss for us.

That said, it was going to be a massive distraction and all the chatter was his mind was made up. Getting pick 10 is definitely on the high end of what I though we could get back. Clear some cap space, sign a couple of free agents like Reader and maybe Harris, maybe we can break even.

For the Bengals, a happy Dex should be a win. Whether he's worth the money....
I'm only so happy because I'd settled on us losing him. To get pick 10 in that reality is GREAT!

This I agree would be extremely dumb and negligent move to do. He should not be taken before 27-28.
Even there feels about 100 picks too early.

Seriously talk about being stupid 5 days till your a millionaire and you do this.

You basically have one job till draft don’t screw up and can’t even do that.

The irony of a Georgia player getting a BS arrest is not lost after the dozens of actual crimes from players at the school have gone unpunished because at time cops have admitted they didnt want to hurt the program or didnt want to do the paperwork on an arrest

Rickey told everyone this over a month ago and got his twitter account banned because of it. The NFL insider mafia are cry babies.
It will drag on for months if it's going to be a post June 1 trade so can't involve any picks this draft.
The media and insiders will talk about it for a few days then nothing for a month till it heats up and another team possibly gets involved.

Works out better for the Eagles since the pats pick will be earlier next season.

If we take a RB at 3. it should give an idea of the game style Lafleur has in mind.

If the plan is to build the entire team before we draft a QB, then RT would have to be the next player we pick in the second round if the board falls that way.

Doesnt make much sense about trading back given Love is fav to go to the Titans #4 and the Giants are keen at #5. If the Cards really want him they need to take him at #3 id say.

Surely the next Superbowl after that goes back to Phoneix Arizona.

It is incredible that half of all of the Superbowls that we have hosted had become some of the all time greatest Superbowls to have ever been played.

2008- pats and giants - tyree catch
2015 - hawks vs pats - Butler interception

The 2023 Superbowl was fairly good as well.

The toaster in the desert is a bit dated now and doesn't have the surrounding area like New Orleans does. Who should also not get any more superbowls till they update the stadium lights and it doesn't look like ass on tv because of the lights

Be that as it may, there is just something about our stadium that turns Superbowls in to all time legendary games.

Cardinal stadium is mid and phoenix is boring.
It will feel especially like there is nothing to do in phoenix after next superbowls are in LA, Atlanta, Vegas and Tennessee all great cities with great night life.

Keeping a DT like DL at 29 isn't making them a serious contender. And I'm used to the Giants getting a 3rd in these positions. 10 is great to a non-conference team.

Really interesting first round draft. Not much elite top end talent, but plenty of decent depth talent in the early rounds of O Line, WR and Edge.
I believe even the DT depth is good in this draft as well.

If i'd had to rank this year's draft positions group

Weakest position group
1. QB
2. RB
3. DT

Strongest
1. Edge
2. WR
3. LB
