Goad would want to be carrying something because his effort is non existent
He's definitely got something going on. Normally he moves faster even without making an effort. I haven't seen him get near top speed once, even medium speed.

Just then he was chasing and was slow as (for him.)

Keast, McPherson, Dow all one paced bull butchers.

Looks better when you have a defensively minded mid in Fairlie in there.

Hard to believe we have zero midfield depth either Urqs out.
Probably the big issue for us AFL wise out of this. We are building good quality in the midfield at AFL level but the lack of available <21 true mid options at VFL shows we are light on long term.

Oh we have a chase, first decent run down tackle of the day...who was that? Brayden George, nice.

Came from way back, that intent and pace stood out like dogs balls.

Just a general observation, but boy if this was a UFC or boxing match it looks like different weight classes out there. GWS look bigger and thicker across all lines. We need a Rubgy pack weight metric for this and we'd be short 200kgs I reckon.

We looked off from the start and it largely stayed that way. We fumbled a lot more, and our short kicking and handballing was poor. The umpiring was even poorer than usual as well.

Goat, Whitlock and Banch were the only ones to win their positions.

I assume they were local umpires, bad all day, but late in the last Q, Nth forward in front, going for a contested mark, gets wrapped up by a defender behind him, and then pinged with a free kick against for holding, wtf ?

Ha so they had Gruzeskl , Brown and Riccardi combine for a lazy ten goals.

Not really a head scratcher this one.

Some people have no patience with Hardeman. He worked his way into it and played a good game in the end.

Another good thing to come out of a miserable game was Goater getting through healthy again and I thought he also played a decent game.

Goater was a positive. Still at least a couple more VFL games before a potential call up.

Whitlock had moments from very limited opportunities. I’m absolutely 100% in the should be playing back camp though. There’s a spot for a mobile athletic tall in the AFL side right now. Give the bloke a chance to take it ffs.

Banch is honest. George got through another game I spose.

Dawson is a major concern for me. He’s just far too slow of body and mind.

I hope Goad was injured or ill and didn’t just leave all of his confidence in a puddle out in the middle.

Goad was hobbling quite a bit and spent a lot of time in the forward line

Ive not seen the game but the reports on Goad doesn't surprise me. I understand unicorns take time, but it looks like he's told and believes he's a unicorn with the VFL just a place to graze and pass the time away. Lots of fun, heaps of fun n that. Problem is he's yet show any signs he's more than a colorful horse.

Ok maybe a few small glimpses, but makes Lachy Hansen look manic.
