Watts for ep at FB could be a watch for us. A KPD just picked in the state squad, could be a msd option

I’ve just gone onto the 7+ app and a full replay of the R4 match against SD is available. Unfortunately, our earlier matches don’t appear to be there.
They are only available for a week. They do have mini highlights for the rounds before that go back to last year.
I don't think any of the guys on this thread have the right to complain about Wafl footy coverage.
As a regular Wafl supporter you only have to go back about decade and only one Wafl game was on TV and maybe another on Sports Fm and the other three had no coverage except for around the ground scores.
People complaining about amateur commentators, amateur camera men, having commercials.
i am grateful for the coverage which most probably is provided with little financial assistance,

Kernutt, Jamieson, Burke, TEB and Lucassen would have to be the strongest cohort of top ups we’ve probably ever compiled, and they’re sat next to eachother on the pine. Wowee.

Long live the Beags.

From the press release:

"In a first for the Sullivan Logistics WAFL competition, a groundbreaking and expanded multi-year broadcast agreement.

The landmark partnership, totalling over 250 games per season will ensure live and free access to fans and consolidates the best of WA Football content under one trusted network, delivering action to viewers in Western Australia and beyond.

WA Football Chief Executive Officer Michael Roberts declared the agreement a huge result for the game in this state.
“The expansion of our long-standing broadcast partnership with the Seven Network is a game-changer for WA Football,” Roberts said.

“This deal revolutionises how fans engage with the Sullivan Logistics WAFL and offers the most visible and accessible broadcast partnership in WAFL history.

“By teaming up with the most widely watched and trusted network in Australia, we’re not just expanding our reach; we’re bringing WAFL to a new generation of fans.

“We hope that this partnership will not only increase our audience but also raise the profile of our competition, showcasing the incredible talent and thrilling football that our players deliver every week."

Unless you want to watch a replay because you have plans on a Saturday afternoon in which case you're shit out of luck

I can't see your viewpoint. This Saturday afternoon both the Afl and Wafl games are on the same time.
7 plus will have the Wafl game available for replay for seven days. If people cannot watch it within that time period it is too bad.

I just checked the app and by golly you're right! Last year they only picked one game per round to have the full replay and the rest were highlights only. That's awesome and I shall eat my hat.

Why have they fixtured this game to start at the exact same time as the AFL game? Seems like an entirely avoidable clash and annoying for fans who want to watch both.

Thinking about heading down to the WAFL myself and watching that. Then if the AFL side gets up I’ll watch the replay Saturday night.

Totally sux. I'll probably do the reverse if the replay of the WAFL match is available anywhere. Or at worst the Eagles on the tv and Beagles on the tablet.

Highlights of last week’s game

I especially like Datson’s effort to kick a long ball inside 50 then teleport himself to the goal square to crumb the kick and put through our first goal

Plus Datson and Watt on the field. Certainly a far cry from the bad old days where the side was basically Jackson Nelson, Jamieson, Barnett, Dewar, Jordyn Baker and then about 20 guys with numbers between 50 and 80, most of whom would struggle to get a game at the Ellenbrook Eels.

Last year was last year. This year we have access to all Wafl games on replay on any one weekend.
Time to live in the present

16 AFL listed ... thats got to be a record for us?

Same as two weeks ago. Probably a post-Covid record, I think we had some pretty good availability in 2019 when the team made finals.

Fair play to these guys as well, they manage to do more than contribute in their areas of the ground, whilst probably not getting the priority in terms of favoured positions when compared to the AFL listed guys.

It probably wouldn't be where I'd choose to play footy if I was a WAFL level player but they've committed and are absolutely holding up their end of things for us.

Massive soft spot for our top ups this year, hope we can sneak them a HJs franchise or a heap of Steam gift cards or something on top of their existing contracts. Need to keep/add to that group going forwards especially when our list size goes back down.

This is the fourth game in a row that the Beagles have played a home game at MRP although on a Saturday.
I expect a small crowd as there are will be Beagle supporters as well as some die hard East Perth supprters who will be at the Richmond game.

The evidence is that playing on Sunday will not get bigger crowds to watch at MRP.
Round two crowd 491
round three crowd 406
round four crowd 675
These are poor crowds and have been played at 11am or 1.10pm on Sunday.
I do commend the very small Beagle supporters who make the effort.

As an observation Most Wafl clubs, players and supporters don't like playing games except for saturday.
Non Saturday games are usually poorly attended, clubs finances are affected, players have to work so don't like playing Sunday. The only games that seem to work are Easter Friday with reasonable crowds and the Foundation day Derbies which usually get the biggest crowds except for finals.

Kyal Horsley’s round 4 recap - Owies, Macrae and Gross considered the best three

Good to see they still can't spell Grego's name correctly.

I didn't believe it at first but it's official.

Reminder that the WAFL Eagles play on Saturday against East Perth at Mineral Resources Park (Lathlain Park) in an afternoon fixture at 2:10pm AWST. Visual coverage is available via 7+.

The weather forecast for Saturday is reasonable with partly cloudy conditions and a maximum of 19 degrees predicted at this stage. There will be some wind during the day, but nothing too strong before easing in the evening.

The TV game this week sees Claremont host Swan Districts at Revo Fitness Stadium (Claremont Oval) at 2:10pm. Coverage begins on Channel 7 at 2pm and also via 7+.

Other matches sees Peel Thunder host West Perth in the early game on Saturday, East Fremantle tackle Perth while Subiaco take on South Fremantle in a twilight fixture.
