I'm surprised there isn't more discussion about getting on top of the Rachele situation this week. It's crystal ball stuff of course, but if he drops another 60 tonight, he could lose another $50k with his high b/e and consecutive bad scores. Pair that with all the keeper premo FWDs having low b/e and all set to rise. The gap between Rachele to JHF or Trac this week is $105-122k, next week that could balloon out to $170-190k. This feels like a bigger loss to team value and makes upgrades more difficult than what would be gained by trading out two big daisy moos to get someone like Newman and a cheap rook.

This is my team after trades of Rach>Trac and Jacques>Ret (The actual team this time, it's not just a god tier team of only Fishers). Can someone tell me what I'm missing here that would make the team look better by leaving Rachele and doing something like Jagga & Jacques to Newman & Retschko? I couldn't get to a NWM or similar unless sacrificing Duursma, which I don't think the MIDs could withstand yet. (Not factoring in injury possibilities with this, that's a risk all the time for every player).

With these current moves, and no forced trades next week, I'd be hoping to get McAndrew up to Jackson before his price starts to get away, then in a perfect world there are enough fattened cows to 1 up 1 down until the byes.

Showdown is the type of game he gets up and about in, and then Richmond next week.

He was in my trade targets this week, but I think at this point, he can be held until after the Richmond game.

If you have no other way to get in someone like Petracca or JHF, sure, but this is a guy averaging nearly 90 with 3 tons and having a bad couple of weeks, fantasy wise.

Plenty of other issues to deal with.
That feels a bit sugar coated when his last 3 avg is 81 and he's about to give back a chunk of his value gains. A score around 80 tonight drops his last 3 avg to 66. The gamble with him is did he have a couple of bad weeks, or did circumstance allow him to have a few really good weeks before that. There's a realistic possibility that in 2 weeks time, he is worth less than Duursma and McAndrew. Feels like a bigger issue than a rookie that is still going to make a few grand or break even.

Rach -> Fisher. Problem solvered

Thinking double downgrade this week is the go for me, given I only have $12k pre-trades.

Jaques -> Retschko

Maybe Grlj -> Will Edwards for the 2nd trade.

Gives me $584k for next week to hopefully get in JHF / Trac and McCluggage / Dunks for Cook and Jagga.

That's become ever so slightly riskier, with Fisher having to carry North more than his little hamstring could handle. He's still a safe 115 guy, but the danger is that the other hammy goes, then he's only a 105 guy.

Roberts or Ash? Everyone has gone Roberts so I am kind of tempted to go Ash.

I am bit suss on Roberts holding this pig role the whole season. Redman is a greedy man and will come back to take some of the kicks in surely.

I'd go Ash. Redman loves stealing kick ins and not kicking short. He burnt Martin every game in 2024.

Yeah that was my thinking.

I'm sure Roberts will still do well but owning Essendon players with Redman in the team is a hard watch.

All week been going between
Dale vs Dunkley vs McCluggage vs Newman

A little Rd 15 bye heavy so that probably rules out the Brissy duo. Newman has Saints and Dogs in his next 3 and Dale has suckered me in before to let me down

Its gotta be then doesn't it.....

Should've let Dale sucker me in again

All week it was Naicos in but settled on JHF. Gonna have to learn to stick with plans

Could’ve been worse I suppose, was gonna be Murph to JHF before settling on Windsor out. Still having a 60 sitting at M4 looks awful.

With my cheapest trade outs, I was gonna bring Murph in. (Looked at Murph, Brent Daniels,, Yeo, Keys, Waterman - mid $630-$750k players)
Didn't want to be stuck with them so did the "right thing" paying up.. Tis a season long game though, so we'll see.

Didn't start Murphy but suspect he'll continue to score well. I was hoping he'd max out at 75 this year and jump on next year as a not so obvious 3rd year break out. He averaged like 116 as a mid at CTL.

Guess you won't be trading Cook now
