What do you mean, Priestley posted it in the board's group chat.
Getting pantsed by a bottom 8 club that have been purposefully targeting our players to poach every off-season for years & were successful in doing that last year is pretty bad. We were almost at full strength too.
What 2025 results are as bad as that was? It could’ve blown out to a 10 goal beating very easily.

I think that the Club and Wright have held their course well up to now and I'm sure that it's enabled him to map out a plan for the future . If the effort had held then I think Voss would have survived until the end of the season.
That level of performance yesterday was horrible and if something doesnt change we'd be likely to cop some huge beatings coming up which will do nobody any good. I dont think he's reacting to the noise coming from supporters and media (I'd be very disappointed in him and the club if they were). it's just time.
Don’t think Voss is that tactically astute. I’m expecting Acres, Fog and begrudgingly Hewett before any kid.Be amazed it Wright diverts from plan. I still expect Bye but who knows as we can’t keep going this way
Place is a mess and players have no faith in coach and haven’t for a while. So many players are broken.
My fear is Voss will bring in kids this week as an excuse for a Lions thrashing
Things need to change dramatically. Can’t fix other issues properly if you have serious problems at the top
Whether Voss is there or not, just bringing in a whole bunch of kids would be a terrible idea, unless you want to destroy them.Don’t think Voss is that tactically astute. I’m expecting Acres, Fog and begrudgingly Hewett before any kid.

Surprised Jagga hasn’t had a stint or rest already. Kid can’t last 4 quarters atm and the pressure he’s had to face on loss after loss would be unhealthy.Kids are doing well in the VFL...
Maybe time to drop Jagga and Dean there too so they don't get their confidence smashed all year.
Let the old ones cop their beatings before we get rid of them.
Ironically these 3 were probably our best players this weekDon’t think Voss is that tactically astute. I’m expecting Acres, Fog and begrudgingly Hewett before any kid.

It's a whole different competition though, with a fraction of the pressure associated to it. You really cant'compare it to the AFL. It's more like a suburban competition.I was at VFL. Difference in enjoyment and positivity is chalk and cheese compared to Seniors
Not sure many want to be promoted
Emergency board meeting taking place in the next 48 hours. Voss will go, but timing TBD.

If Voss goes this week it would be great to get a head start on other teams needing a new coach. Kelly, Giansiracusa, lade, Enright, Hickmott. I’d love a combination. Of Kelly and Enright.
Dempsey grew up in Hawthorn area.Geelong hide young players in lower regional leagues and then pick them up as rookies or late draft picks for basically no draft capital cost. Stewart basically told clubs he wasn’t prepared to go anywhere other than Geelong. Miers and Dempsey were the same.
Our seniors second halves make suburban footy look elite …It's a whole different competition though, with a fraction of the pressure associated to it. You really cant'compare it to the AFL. It's more like a suburban competition.
- new assistants
- Travis Boak
- Got rid of Agresta
- implemented AI and recruited Ai manager

This is such a shallow take on the situation. Imagine working for a company where more than 50% of the staff are rubbish at their job, and then wondering why you’re not performing every week. Why do we continually make excuses for the players' bad attitude? You're being paid good money to play for the Club, do your job.
Perfectly said. Was about to write something similar as a reply but could not have said it any better. This is such a shallow take on the situation. Imagine working for a company where more than 50% of the staff are rubbish at their job, and then wondering why you’re not performing every week.
These guys are human and have been playing in a terrible environment and phoney system for literally years. It has worn them down. Their salary has nothing to do with their performances.
Unfortunately they have been moulded into a terrible football team over many years. They only know losing (aside from the 12-month Good Times 2023-24).
I’m so dismayed by Cripps and Weiters especially this year. I just hope the years 1-3 players haven’t been infected too much by the “funk” so that there is some hope to rebuild when the new coach comes in.

So, they bear no responsibility for any of it? I refuse to accept that but you're welcome to your own opinion. If things were that bad they would have all chosen to leave the club long ago. This is such a shallow take on the situation.
