For AFL members of the 1990s, I'm curious - how does the current setup at Marvel compare to the setup at Waverley, in the period of time between 1993 (after the southern stand and the AFL reserve was built) to 1999?

Or at least 93-96, when it wasn't just Saints and Hawks home games?
I remember thinking AFL members had the whole wing! Feels like it was a lot more

Yeah from memory, at Waverley AFL members went from the 50 mtr arc at the main scoreboard end to the 50mtr arc at the Police road end (on the broadcast wing). Quite a large area.

Yeah I felt like I was walking through a special area. Right now they'd have a bay at Waverley ;)

How was the bars, other facilities compared to the rest of the ground generally?

(No issue if you can't remember obviously)

The AFL Members at VFL Park was a pretty big area. There were 4 bars on the bottom level named after the 4 triple Brownlow medalists where they served glass as like the MCC members you couldn't drink alcohol in the seating bowl.

Another perk was that AFL Members got free parking at the ground.

Nice!

Glass and parking! AFL would be rolling in there grave over the missed corporate opps

I am horrified to say I have to visit Marvel Stadium on the weekend. Does the AFL publish walk up areas for Marvel, as in Around the Grounds it still says TBC for both games? I know what's likely but I don’t want to mess around on the day.

Look for the auskick families and you'll know where to sit

marvel website says aisle 7, normally it’s published on the around the grounds page but the work experience kid is probably busy

Although sitting on the top level felt a lot further away than the back row of level 4 at the G.

And it was also extra for parking outside the members. It also took a hell of a long time getting out of that car park. The old man use to move the car at half time to near the exit for a quicker getaway.

So fair to say AFL members facilities at Marvel are non existent given the Victory Room is also open to club members?
The Victory Room one big room with dividers.

At one end is AFL members. Then a wall. Then something else. A wall. Then social club.

Speaking of the AFL members bar we have new carpet at Marvel

How are people finding the return ticket feature this year? I like it - in the sense of flexibility to return reserved seats.

But I find it odd that when people return them they don't actually seem to become resellable. So what's the point?

So basically I like the system when I have tixs, but find it a bugger for games I'm struggling for. Collingwood v Hawthorn looks very tricky at this point. And yet I don't even reckon it will crack 80k. A lot of return tixs coming ups.

Does anybody know with the sales for Level 1 reserved seating at Marvel in the AFL members section on the wing, do they sell bay by bay starting with Level 8 first and moving towards Level 15, the other way around, or is it just random and any bay could pop up?
