Both Fremantle and Hawthorn have played Collingwood, Geelong and Western Bulldogs.

We have also played Sydney, Gold Coast, Port, Essendon and GWS.

Current form suggests the last 2 are ordinary sides at best.

Fremantle have also played Adelaide, Melbourne, Richmond, West Coast and Carlton.

Yep, the last three are very ordinary, but to suggest they haven't played anyone is frankly incorrect.

Our 6.5 wins have been over slightly stronger opposition collectively, but not by too much IMHO.

They're travelling well and, on their home deck, will be the biggest test we have faced since round 1.
Fair points, but I feel we have had more genuine tests than Fremantle. We meet teams coming off good form. Once again we are under the pump this week, and even the following week, as Melbourne look a better side. We haven’t had any let ups.

Their “good wins”… Collingwood in the wet by 6 points (they kicked 7.3.45) and a wounded bulldogs outfit.

In comparison to our games

-Dogs were 4-0
-Cats (monkey off the back for us)
-GC all in, were expected to arrive and win internally.
-Port did pump the cats the following week. Their percentage speaks volumes.
-Collingwood never get away with a draw again. The anomaly of all anomalies.
-Sydney, much better than Fremantle and we grinded. Again lots of misses. Sydney barely missed.

We will lose if we continue our poor kicking for goal or if our pressure rating is off. However we will not get pumped. The way I’m viewing the facts and the trends in the game, I will maintain that Fremantle have not played anyone yet. I’m excited for a really good performance.

Dogs wasn’t a test for us with English having just gone down. Swans, Cats and Port were all decent opposition. Pies is still a little hard to read for me
Well on that logic, Fremantle hasn’t played anyone.

Dogs a massive injury list by the time Fremantle came around.
Collingwood they beat by 6 points with their massive 7.3.45 scoreline.

The only interstate side we have played away has been the Giants and we lost that. We have been lucky enough to get the Suns, Swans, Port all in Melb/Tas.

The draw against interstate teams has been heavily in our favour so far. Freo away will be a massive test.
We have Suns up there shortly, then Bris at the Gabba at the back end.

Win this, and it sets up our entire year.

Should be a great game. If Newk is out it certainly swings the odds in their favour. I don't think they have an answer for our smalls upfront. They have quality talls and Jackson will be a nightmare if we don't win clean clearance.

They play a very interesting brand. They seem to not look for the corridor much and love kicking to a contest on the wing. They either win or neutralise it and then win the ground ball. They very rarely get out marked in those situations.

Our talls will need to compete well and our smalls will need to make sure they're alert and positioned well. Can't have too many fly and let them outnumber us around the fall of the ball.

If Barrass or Sic is best on we win.

Coach has declared Sicily fit to play.

To be fair he declared it all last season even when he wasn't.

I hope Sicily learns his lesson to sit out when he needs to. It's to the detriment of the side and himself if he's not 100%. He started the season well but he's looked banged up the last few weeks. Needs to take care of his body more now that he's on the wrong side of 30.

Loose unit this guy Patrick Voss lol - He was playing last week with severe gastro

Pat Voss' IQ must be in the single digits. I like him alot but he's so lucky he can play football.

Think Scrim might be very unlucky this week, I love him and he's a gun but we are just too tall down back with Barrass, Battle, Sicily and Jack

We’re such an even team who don’t rely on any particular “star” to carry us over the line, that I’m comfortable if Jai or Sic or Meeky misses out, we’ll still put up a damn good fight and be in it till the death.
