We do not need a third tall, defence is our most experienced area and we have Floss, Gray and Trainor who could all play that intercepting role. Our weakest area is the middle and our least experienced is forward.
the reason why our midfield is weak is it is too slow. we need to dispose of hopper that is clear. we are flushed with forwards but they are young. broad is retiring. vlos will go after another year. sadly gibscus is not going to be the one who actually makes it. short may have one year personally i would shop him around. balta is now our second ruck / swingman. we desperately need a strong defender and ruck and one more speedy mid.

Average MSD picks' careers. Pick 1 14 games.

Pick 2 has been OK 42 games

Pick 5 ................6 games

Pickett was a gun. Tresize barely best 23 for most.

I like Gray but is he playing ahead of a fit Gibcus.
we need Hopper/Prestia upgrades. Ruck depth. FA the GWS guy

Give El Nour a spot. Keep oppo clubs away
I believe so. Gibcus was a decent interceptor but he never had the 1v1 ability of grey.

Looks to be a 16/17 poss KPD
whats his speed and athleticism like
VFL/AFL are a mile apart for KPD's
Tom Barnett, 19, Coburg
A 197cm key defender who is strong overhead and kicks the ball well, Barnett was added to the Lions’ list mid-season after outstanding form in local football for Maribyrnong Park. He made his debut in Round 12 against Box Hill Hawks and had five marks. His local coach, former AFL player Brodie Holland, is a fan. “I’ve had Brody Mihocek and Luke Ryan and other guys at local level, and Tom is equally as good as Luke Ryan at the same age,’’ Holland told this masthead. “If you saw his games with me earlier in the year, you wouldn’t even bother playing him in the VFL – you’d think he was up to it. He can mark it, he’s good at ground level, he’s quick, he’s evasive, intercept marker and he can crack in.’’ With eight marks and 16 possessions, Barnett was among the Burgers’ best in their crucial win over Port Melbourne on Sunday.

Looks a good prospect and has good skills at VFL level, especially for a guy his size. Like to take him and look at him for the rest of the season. Another onballer/wing type would be good. Anyone have some suggestions?
