For some. The sample size of myself watching AMW playing seniors v Jiath has led me to the conclusion I'd rather AMW.

I was keen as for being ATG for this one, but it was gonna be the kid's first game and I realised a few days ago we couldn't bask in the glory of the Melbourne Cricket Ground... Marvel Stadium is a piece of shit stadium so I'm gonna hold off on attending.

The first game I can remember attending was against the Eagles at Docklands in 2000. Fell in love with the Dees that day - we had a win and Farmer kicked a bag.

Didn't stop me growing up to hate the stadium. Such a soulless shithole.

Honestly with docklands, it's been around where i do have a weird nostalgia for it. It has some character, not as much as the century plus MCG and they certainly ****ed up building the roof.

Also not as highly featured i remember the crows making a cracking comeback against norf there in 2013 (Saints had a great comeback against the dogs too one year)

But i'd rather us not play a home game there... but the AFL has always sent us off for one game at an alternate Melbourne ground. We've done the Weagles at all of them. Docklands in the very first year, Princes Park, heck they even hosted us at Waverley in a final (Three times)

My son loves that Paul Kelly song see, so he's been stoked about seeing the 'G for ages. Don't think he really cares too much about the footy itself... so yeah, taking him to a match anywhere else would be a bit like that "we've got mcdonalds at home" meme.

There may have only been 7k people there but the dees supporters were so loud it felt like 12k!

Yeah I live regional as well. Must admit it was convenient when a coach replaced the train . Just hopped on the bus which was practically empty and had a nice journey home. Buses also have the lights off so it was quite comfortable as well.

The club is offering a 2 for 1 special to try and get bums on seats. The ticket sales would be abysmal.

Be interesting to see how Bowey goes with more licence. I thought Jiath was great at ground level, didn't realise he was on Rosas if he was.

The gulf between our best and our worst is so vast that we really can't take any game for granted, particularly when you factor in our 0-3 record off the MCG and our patchy record against lower teams. We lost to Essendon, were losing 45-2 against Carlton, and took 3 quarters to shrug off Richmond. There is absolutely no part of me which is expecting us to easily account for the Eagles.
