Pretty much immediate everything went to crap. Shows he might be the guy to hold it together in the guts like Rids does the backline.
Indictment on everyone else in the guts that our 18YO was holding us together

Durham was holding us together

But parish was also excellent for most of the day

Sharp was good as he should be, hes built like armageddon and as ready made as it gets, his ceiling isnt as high so you need instant impact. Hes played against men 4 years ago at the top SA level

He played in the ones in the SANFL when he was 14 years of age? The misinformation....

He reckons he'll play next week. Scott does not.

A bit of speculation but the 3 outcomes Scott speculated on (after saying he wouldn't speculate) were "fine, 4-6 week injury, surgery".

I'm praying for the first one, think it looked like a 4-6 week injury but knowing our club's luck, I'm fearful of the last one.

To be fair same thing happened when we played setterfield the last few years.

More of a coaching issue than a young player issue. Just need a replacement level big bodied defensive mid

The concerning thing is how much pain he was in when it happened yesterday. Was in agony rolling around for a good while and you get the feeling the kid is tough, very tough. One of the apparent ITK posters on Blitz reckons his season is done. Even if that is the case as long as there isn't long term implications. We will know for sure tomorrow.

No one would know that right now imo

Its a guestimation to gain clout if it comes off, probably has 33% chsnce, so theyve taken those odds

Id let him rest for a while

Hopefully just a stinger

Blitz is a cesspool with everyone pretending that they're "ITK" even though they aren't

Don’t think it looked too bad. Nothing was visibly “out” to my eye.

4-6 seems possible.

So encouraging yesterday. Had started to worry a little about his pace but we saw exactly what he is yesterday. He’s an inside warrior who wins genuine hard ball and stands and distributes through contact with super clean, quick hands . Runs hard both ways and can link up a little on the outside.

Absoloute best case - he becomes an inspirational Selwood like mid and leader. Doesn’t run as well but lots of other similarities.

That's my boy

Such a damn shame about the injury, he rarely gets injured apart from some minor hip issues growing up. That was only a small sample of what he can and will bring, tough in the middle, finding ways to win clearance and drive the team forward and enjoyed playing on blokes like Callaghan and Oliver. There was a little more drive from the legs yesterday, and that will increase, he's got power and burst in those first few steps with an appetite for contact but also understands how to spread working up and down the ground offensively and defensively. Prob was on track for 30 touches to be honest. In time, he will be the one to put the team on his back, that's what he always does. Will be the perfect combo with Robey going forward who I like very much.

The injury itself, yea didn't look great, he's bred tough but you could clearly see the bone sticking up at the point of his shoulder. How bad it is underneath I don't know but minimum 4-6 weeks I'd think but wouldn't surprise me if it is surgery either.

They're all panic merchants and self-hating Essendon supporters. Toxic.

sweating on this one, but footage from when he was on the bench showed bone up. I hope for his sake it's not a season ender

A lot will depend on the stability of the shoulder joint and whether it can be managed through if there’s only minor damage. You can rehab the muscles supporting it provided there’s no capsular damage and strap it through until the end of the year and have it operated on, but the risk of him doing it again and doing further damage is a lot higher and not worth it IMO

(2 Shoulder Reconstructions on the same joint personally, I’d get it operated on if needed ASAP)
