Oppo's really are in a ravenous tizzy fit over this. We are enjoying it immensely.

Not really. It’s remarkable what he has done. I think it’s lessened due to the fact he is missing games deliberately to make it to the record at the G which is incredibly selfish, your coach allowing it is a shocking look.

Drawing with Hawthorn emphasised that, it was highlighted by Cornes which clearly hit a nerve for you all. Placing individuals higher than the club is a bad look, your coach had done it with ND.

Pendlebury making it all about him is pretty poor mate. Wouldn’t you expect more?

5 day break, 38 year old with a calf injury history, It was the right move. Hawks are a fast outfit, better to not risk him m8.

Interstate, give him a rest. He's old so please understand DeeDee.
I’d totally understand the swans one, but last night you needed him, you’ll need him against Geelong as well. You’re a massive chance against Geelong. Say he played and you beat hawthorn and Geelong…. You’re pretty much locked into the 8.

Maybe with Pendlebury Gold jumper you can give one to Brad Scott who retired Brent Harvey allowing Pendlebury to Break the record.
Had Harvey been giving the opportunity he could have played and 2 years maybe a 3rd year which he could have played an extra 50 games.
This decision was the catalyst for the Downfall of North.
If memory serves me correctly Harvey retired himself Essendon were willing to pick him up

So in all likelihood Collingwood would have won last night if Pendlebury played. Surely he puts the team first and plays against Sydney. After all he is a team player right?
Pendlebury is washed that's why he ain't getting picked being carried to the tally game to sell tickets and poor quality merchandise

I appreciated his response to ch7 after the game where he deflected attention on himself about equalling the record by quickly saying the story is more about Tom Stewart's 200th.

Last night was embarrassing from the TV networks.

I was watching Fox and the entire buildup to the game was just wall to wall Pendlebury.

Obviously his next game should be able about him but last night was ridiculous. We don’t need two celebrations.

Essendon wanted Harvey he talked himself out of it

I’m not sure about the narrative that poor Boomer was forced out of the game and was hard done by.

He had a point to prove to his club for sacking him and he had AFL contracts on the table to continue - contracts offering him far more money and perks than anything he’d get working elsewhere.

He had every opportunity to continue playing and chose not to.
