That train left the station in 2001.If he hasn’t been pushed this isn’t good for the club.
We are in round 9 and don’t have a list manager nor senior coach.
I hope the club isn’t losing control of the situation….
That’s what GW said last year.Wow, I thought he was doing a reasonable job

Of course we don't know what happens behind the scenes, but it almost seemed like the perfect storm.I think Austin would have made a solid List Manager paired with a forward-thinking and strategically minded senior coach.
I think if he's given some parameters he is capable of identifying and obtaining players that meet those parameters.
I think the problem was that he'd been paired with a stubborn and narrow-minded coach who wasn't able to identify the necessary traits (and combinations thereof) needed for the way the game is trending, and he lacked the clout or confidence to overrule the coach on some of those selection/contract calls.
Put Austin with a Sam Mitchell who would give him better direction and he'd be a solid if unspectacular part of a successful team. But without knowing who our coach will be, with some likelihood that said new coach is a first time senior, and with our new focus on AI analytics, I think we're going to want someone who can direct list strategy, not just execute someone else's vision.

Expecting Nick Austin to be vindicated as our youngsters get going. Awfully hard to listen to the media denigrate the list and then listen to the presser with our brains trust wanting to limit piling on Voss and openly down playing the state of the list. Not pushed
"Goddess"

Davies will oversee the Club’s list management for the foreseeable future while he leads the restructure of the list management and recruiting team.

Which would have been signed off by the CEO - what does that tell you??Yes, I am going to say it. Thank goodness Nick Austin is gone before he hands out even more ghastly contracts.
