Look mate, I put forward opinions on a forum. You have many great comments in this forum, but too much you try and attack a poster. That's your way. Consistent way.
My guess is that you actually dislike that about yourself. Sweeping statement and all.
Look, if Patton has a history of Mental Health issues, and if he is not facing criminal charges, then the Club is in no position to terminate his contract. You can't have it both ways.
Anyhow, apologies to those I've offended. I maintain, too many people here are excusing and victimising Jon...
I would say a majority of the population has suffered from anxiety and depression at one point in time or more. Often, this is a result of negative things happening in ones life. Losing a family member, being made redundant, lockdown etc. It also often happens when people's actions are...
This is where I disagree. Lots of people here are doing exactly that mate. This is 90% of what is posted in here and when someone says other, whack the establishment comes out.
I get and agree Jon has mental health issues, as a result of his actions.
I can be empathetic and I don't wish it upon anyone to get to a point to potentially not see a way out, but this is not a person that has battled Mental Health their entire life, as many in our community do, this is an...
Yuck. Sorry mate. Neither have shown they are capable as a forward pocket. The players I mentioned, Dusty, Bolton, Edwards, Danger and Parfitt are all damaging goal kickers when forward. Mitchell and Worpel aren't that.
Besides, resting forward isn't really a thing these days given the amount...
Some really good posts about our midfield mix. They didn't work as a collective last year. I think that neither Mitchell or Worpel was willing to sacrifice their game if honest.
The biggest issue for our midfield mix in my opinion is that none of Mitchell, O'Meara, Worpel, Shiels and Cousins...
It's important to remember Sicily was drafted during our dynasty, so it was tough to break in. He also slid due to needing to mature. Neither apply to Finn. I'm curious also, as I note little from pre-season reports and Sam Mitchell left him off our under 22 talent in a recent interview.
This...
If he ends up at Box Hill too much this year chances are he won't be on the list next year. Big year for him and I think he has earned a good run at it early. He was better than Shiels in the games he played last year.
I honestly didn't rate him before his last six games in 2020. He was probably our best midfielder in that period and showed far more pace and skill than I thought he had. By pre-season reports he is performing strongly.
With or without Mitchell, it would be a backwards step not to play him...
Worpel took out the Crimms medal at 20, and along the way setting a league record for most disposals by a player 20 or under. He was frustrating last year, but his last five games prior to injury I felt he was at his best again. Second year blues would be fair.
A personal opinion, but I think...
That's fair. But Mitchell Mitchell missed all of 2019 and was honestly a shadow of himself last year. He just had zero impact with his possessions I felt and was a big part of our one-paced, overly ball hunting minded midfield.
Obviously I know he was coming back from a major injury so he...
How long is Mitchell out for? I thought it was just round 1?
Mitchell is a jet, but I'm not 100% sold he is in our top 5 most important players. Worpel, O'Meara, Shiels and Cousins play similar.
Gunston and Sicily are irreplaceable for us. Losing Wingard at any point on-top of this would make...
I've put in bold those I think will play most games, or would be likely ahead of Silk in terms of selection. Cousins was as good as any player in the last six games of 2020 and by all reports he is having a great pre-season. It's likely we are committed to Ceglar rucking.
Lewis might be...
If not for the soft-cap, I don't think Silk would be still on our list to be honest. I think it's a pretty nifty way to get an extra coach and I suspect that he might play a handful of games against mature, contending, teams and with injuries to senior players. Mitchell being out round 1 might...
I appreciate you being willing to present a view that will be really unpopular. But we simply wouldn't have invested so much in Dingley if this was true mate. Buckley's chance we move. Everyone knows this, which makes Kennett look like a total flog.
I enjoyed reading Sam Mitchell talk about some of our under 22 talent this morning. It seems Downie has been impressive so far and is a big chance to start on the wing in round 1. Grainger-Barras it seems has a bit of a way to go aerobically but talent and footy IQ wise is pushing for a spot...
So have you watched it?
I think it is important to watch it to have a balanced opinion on this topic, as using ones 'own eyes'... that's actually the problem. You have to go into racism wanting to learn and be exposed to different opinions, especially casual rasicm. We saw this with Eddie this...
Robbo printed last week that the AFL have been unable to talk with Patton yet whilst he is seeking mental health treatment. Likely a few weeks away from an outcome yet.
I stand by it mate. If you watched the documentary and still have the same opinion, fair play to you. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. But yes, I do think it is uneducated in that you only want to come at it from your angle at present.
Well only if you wanted an informed opinion...
Fair play to you if you still have this opinion after watching it, but without watching it you can't be informed on the topic in a balanced way. i.e. how Goodes perceived it, factors outside of football like his Australian of the Year speech that...
