Premier A is very good. But having watched the Lions v Werribee VFL Prelim live and the VFL GF on TV it certainly doesn’t look to me like the quality has dropped so far in the VFL to put it below Premier A.
League Tees and Fitzroy have a new Fitzroy fundraising T-shirt out. I reckon this design is even better than last years, but less face it, I'm a sucker for retro style Fitzroy T-shirts.

A bit left field, but contacting Dyson directly might be worthwhile. I doubt he's got any copies lying around and he's probably done enough interviews to last a lifetime. But as a high profile member of the legal profession he's not too hard to track down contact details for, and you never know...
I've generally thought the fairest option in 1996 if the AFL were dead set on having to knife a Melbourne based club (as if that's solved the crazy imbalance in the AFL that still exists 25 years later), would have been to buy out Fitzroys AFL Licence and allow them to continue in their own...
Real life, honest to goodness football, played for Premiership points returns to the Brunswick Street Oval this week so I thought I'd start a 2021 season thread.
VAFA website fixture/ladder/results page
The Senior Men's & Women's sides will be competing in their respective VAFA Premier B grade...
Here's a follow up article from The Age with what appears to me to be a pre-FFC merger pic of the Fitzroy Reds. Note the red shorts / all red socks and lack of hipsters on the hill in the background. It's been a while since we've hosted South Melbourne Districts at the BSO too.
Many is the bigfooty poster who's brought themselves undone posting after a few of the cordials.
I've seen a little backtracking from the council saying that meeting diversity & inclusion targets will lower the cost on clubs. I know that the clubs based out of the BSO would be better placed...
Thanks for starting this threat, beat us Fitzroy forum locals to it.
Here's links to some media articles about what's going on:

A very well written piece by local Richard Hinds.

Yarra Libraries have tweeted that they have a collection of Fitzroy Football Club paraphernalia that was donated to them 15 years ago that has just been put on display at the Fitzroy Library.
During lockdown I've collected FitzroyPete's "Fitzroy's Fabulous Century", Russell Holmsby's "The Death of Fitzroy" and Adam Muyt's "Maroon and Blue" does anyone have any other Fitzroy themed reading recommendations?
Fitzroy Football Club has just announced a new fundraising T-shirt being produced in collaboration with the excellent League Tees.
Visitors to this board may already be familiar with some of the other Fitzroy themed stuff that League Tees produce.
As far as I'm aware this is the first thing...
This will go a long way towards showing if Fitzroy can stay up in B grade. They will need to play better than they did last year but with that first win out of the way hopefully they will.
Pickerings return to the forward line certainly made an impact in the first half. It'll be interesting to...
My first suggestion would be to check www.fitzroyfc.com.au it usually has training details, it should also have contact phone numbers for coaches and club officials.
I still regret missing that game as a 12 year old. It's on YouTube. You really should find it and watch it, the crowd vision at the end is something an old Royboy needs to see. Great stuff.
I propose some form of temporary membership. To be the same or a lesser cost than a full membership.
Perhaps it can be upgraded to a full membership if they ever come back for a second time.
