Its clear a pick inside the top ten is certainly worth more than a pick outside it. If a player is picked inside the top 10 they are more likely to have successful AFL careers than those picked in the 10-20 range. There is always anomalies s with any draft based sport as we pick the kids...

The issue really comes down to if we think there is elite talent outside of the top 7/8 players? 1 Elite A grade talent has shown to be worth more than 2 players with B grade level ceilings who may/may not develop into serviceable players. If we select a top three pick that player still holds...
