Hearing strong rumours Dodoro is Adelaide bound this off season.
Would be a strange recruit by Port I'd say. He hasn't exactly covered himself in glory at Essendon.
Which is the year they'll finally crack finals? The Victorian clubs have done a number on them over the journey so far and pillaged their talent before reaching it's peak.
What year will the club stop rebuilding and become a genuine threat?
With Norths current situation it might be the financially responsible solution to their current coaching woes.
They have a strong list of candidates from senior members of the playing group. Cunnington being the obvious choice with Ziebell, Goldstein and Kayne Turner also being strong choices...
Which player has been more disappointing in their careers.
Both were expected to go on to become multiple AA hall of fame type players after some early promise but it hasnt worked out for whatever reason.
There have been a few rumours around that Ben Brown has decked Bailey Fritsch at training.
Apparently Fritsch kicked a checkside goal from the boundary while Ben Brown was open for a handball in the goal square.
Ben Brown has then ran after Fritsch who was off with his jumper pulled over his...
Which club will be chasing this blokes signature? Clearly would be a key clog in any sides line up given his leadership qualities.
Is a move potentially on the cards?
I've just had a look at our fixture and it's not very pretty. If we go through the rest of the year without dropping a game to teams we 'should' beat we'll end up on 13 wins.
With the way we've been playing it would be hard to see us not dropping one or two games that we should be winning...
Congratulations North Melbourne that's a huge achievement especially during these covid years and after a wooden spoon season. Hopefully it keeps the vultures at bay for a while. Any talk of relocation to Tasmania is completely off the tables.
From the VFL side that just played on the weekend Schache, Wallis, Jong, Cordy, West, Weightman and Ugle Hagan would all be starters at Norf.
That's without counting the injured/suspended players.
That's 7 players.
LOL NORF
A lot can be said about the quality of opponents we've faced etc but you can only beat who you're playing and we're flying at the minute.
Where has the improvement come from?
The 3 tall forwards. We said last year after picking up Bruce we we're going to try this but it never eventuated either...
Now the seasons dead in the water we can look back on things that have worked, been bad or been horrible.
The Good -
Wallis up forward. Many people called for this last year when he was taking midfield minutes off Dunkley. Was great this year and has developed into a real leader on field...
On the surface delisting 11 players and shopping around your best forward (Brown) and potentially your best midfielder (Higgins) in a highly compromised draft year seems like a complete disaster.
But if list sizes get cut there will be a lot of delisted players that are upgrades on the current...
Seemingly every year the AFL change a rule to curb the previous years winner. What rule do you think they will change next year?
Early favourites would have to be banning the don't argue or fining players for a pre-game stare down.
List a few things that should be relatively easy but you just suck at for whatever reason.
1. Eating with chopsticks. Can't for the life of me get comfortable using chopsticks. Ruins my dining experience.
2. Doing a cartwheel. Haven't done one in my life. Will probably never do one.
Post some players that don't stand out from the crowd at all. I want to see the leagues generic type of players that would never be on a poster stuck on a kids wall.
I'll start with Andrew Swallow.
Here he is celebrating his one risky effective possession for the year.
This bloke is as meat...
I tend to do a lot of things solo that people (particuarly female friends) find strange like travelling, eating at a restaurant or going to the movies. They say they'd be mortified doing things by themselves.
Is it actually strange to do these things solo or are they just crazy?
If your team hasn't won a flag this millennium you cannot brag about any past achievements because your side is totally irrelevant in the modern age.
Which is more important?
I think the Bulldogs season has almost entirely been determined by a change of tactics this year. Had we stayed on the same path I think we'd be a bottom 4 side.
I also think sides like Carlton, Essendon and Melbourne are using outdated tactics and could jump spots on...
Could you ever see a scenario where a club would trade it's first rounder for another clubs first rounder the following year?
Ie: Geelong trading their first rounder for Melbournes first rounder next year.
Has there ever been a player in their post-career that has cost it's former club so much money?
From my count James 'bottom 4' Hird has cost Essendong the following...
- 4 million dollars in total to coach.
- 1 million dollars to have a vacation and attend a course in France.
- 3-4 million...
If Brett Deledio doesn't play then Richmond lose. That is what I have taken out of last nights game.
Richmond have played 13 games without him for 11 losses. There only 2 wins have come against lowly Brisbane sides.
As a neutral when I watch him play I wouldn't think he would be the key week...
Have we taken over the mantle from Norf? Do we now have the best youth in the competition?
We have the most rising stars since 2013 so I'd say the answer is a resounding yes.
As we are all aware good youth trumps age and experience so surely we'll be storming home to a prelim heartbreaking...
