Roosy said on SEN that Dees are interested. He has put off talks until years end. Jon Ralph from Fox Footy also confirmed the interest. Our back 6 is a liability, so he fills a need. 27 at the start of next year. What's he worth bomber fans? And what would we be willing to give up Dees fans?

Nick Smith All Australian Defender
vs MichaelHibberd (made All australian squad last year), good super coach defender, attacking & creative
As im an essendon supporter i clearly rate Hibberd higher, interesting to hear neutrals thoughts on who they would rather in their teams 22.
Unsung player, great in the air, and pinpoint by foot.
Safe as houses in defence, and he has started the season extremely well.
I always feel relaxed when the ball is in his hands.

For people who aren't aware his dog was missing for about a week or so.
He got him back about an hour ago from someone 10 minutes away from him, he says he's very fat now.

Was looking at the other Rising Star options and he looks like he could be a real potential option for this weeks rising star option.
I actually though he was ineligible but scrapes in by two days (21 on 3rd January), after what was perhaps his best game for the club he should surely be given...
I have jumped on his bandwagon after watching him at training today.... ultra impressive and the type of running half back/med defender that will play a heap of AFL next season!!

Just came across this whilst trying to find out a bit about MichaelHibberd. Hibberd is a young midfielder at Frankston who has really impressed at VFL level this year. A lock to be taken up by an AFL club.
However it appears Fremantle have already recruited him...
