Agree with these three.
Jordan is the best ever.
Haile is very close to being my favourite athlete ever.
Woods is phenomenal.
Maradona and Pele in the top 5. I think the world game deserves 2 in the top 5. I also reckon Ronaldo (not the man u knob) could have overtaken Pele and...
Wow. I came on here to say how I impressed I was with his ride last night!
Evans is guaranteed podium. I think he can win, though I find it hard to cheer for him because he's a bit too conservative though he's a great fighter.
Was anyone shocked ? Even though it's Vino and I like him and had never thought he would be on drugs I'm very "meh" at the news. Be interesting how much the commentators talk about it because I've noticed they seem to be avoiding mentioning Landis.
I'll still watch tonight.
I thought the commentators were a bit harsh on Rasmussen last night. Kept saying how he was being bitch slapped around but he answered every challenge that was thrown at him. Thought he did great.
The last Pyrenees stage should be a cracker.
No one mentioning Rasmussen, but that was an awesome stage win.
Last night was the most entertaining stage imo. I would love to know what they were thinking when Sastre attacked on the last mountain. IIRC that was the attack that broke Landis and the look on the T-Mobile guys faces when...
Anyone else feeling hot just watching it ? They get the odd rest day but it's some effort to back up day after day in that heat, especially when your one of the dudes just flogging yourself for the team leader.
Enjoyed last night (Robbie got nitro's ?), but tonight is when it really starts. Can't wait. Gotta love Gabriel's cooking show too, how nice and juicy did that meat look last night ?
Overrated ? nah, i don't anyone really talks her up.
Overexposed ? probably, but australia is so devoid of quality track and field athletes that they have to write about someone.
How ? He's won the Tour De France 7 times. In a row. He gets nowhere near the media coverage of hack local athletes or inferior athletes in more glamour sports.
I dunno where there is all this hype about him. I wouldnt be surprised if he could walk most streets in Australia without getting...
As much as i wanted Jan to overtake Rasmussen i didn't want it to happen like that, what a disaster!
I felt sorry for him but i couldn't help but laugh as he was changing bikes every 100m.
What's even funnier is he still beat half the field.
I like him too, but I'd have liked to have seen the T-Mobile guys work together a bit more. Vini always seems to be trying to race by himself, well when he isn't fetching drinks for Jan ;)
I'm in the same boat, i think i've watched all of the last 7 or so stages. I've become a cycling junkie! Love the mix of tactics and sheer determination and skill.
The commentators must have money on Vinokourov the way they go on about him.
Going to be interesting to see who can and can't back up yesterdays effort.
