Nisbett & Worsfold should follow Cousins...

And be removed from the West Coast FC. They have failed in their duty and displayed contempt for the importance/significance of the positions in which both currently hold. The CEO & Coach could have imposed their will on matters brought to their intention much sooner and with much more...

Where does Malthouse sit in this?

Malthouse coached Cousins in his formative years' (and Mainwaring and Gardiner among others) and yet not one ounce of blame has been directed at him for being in a senior position of responsibility and therefore a part of dictating the 'culture' that has become so destrcutive at the West Coast...

    Get it...do not defend him!

Otherwise, you are defending each and every Australian civilian who deliberately and knowingly elects to break the law. If we all choose to break the law (in its various forms) chaos would ensue. Enough is enough!

Is it right for Pratt to lead Carlton a AFL side after being fined over $30 million for price fixing

Re: Is it right for Pratt to lead Carlton a AFL side after being fined over $30 million for price fi Richard Pratt handled his mistake with the upmost dignity. Have you ever made a mistake. Before you say it is a 30+ million mistake it represents about 1-2% of the mans wealth. In your...

    Matty Lloyd's ill-advised offerings

He did (Lloyd), however, suggest pick 6 was on offer which was denied by club officials. As great a player as Lloyd is...players should never get involved in attempting to run the agenda at clubs.

    Matty Lloyd's ill-advised offerings

You are in fact the dumbest prick going around...fancy posting with a photo of Juddy in an Essendon jumper. Matthew Lloyd is a quality person and his character and values can't be questioned. However, he did make the following mistakes in his leadership role: a) Remaining deathly silent...

Eddie makes a fool of himself - again

Proves my point. If Eddie was so smart he would have made the appropriate decision at the time (to remove himself from all other responsibilities and focus on his executive role at C9). Decision-making ability is key for a prospective CEO, I would have thought. Eddie proved from day one he...

Eddie makes a fool of himself - again

I have never said Collingwood did not deserve a player in the AFL Team of the Century...thatday. All I am saying is that for the first 34 yrs you dominated and for the remaining 66 yrs you have not set the world on fire as far as p'ships go. It gives some balance to the argument. Also, you...

Eddie makes a fool of himself - again

A previous poster brought up Eddie's role at C9. I was responding to that. I stand by my initial comment - Lockyer/Shaw did not deserve AA selection in 2007, confirmed by the coaches in the Copeland, which, therefore, make Eddie's comments to be off the mark - once again.

Eddie makes a fool of himself - again

Collingwood was very successful up to and including the 1936 premiership. From 1936 onwards Collingwood has won only three premierships - 1953, 1958 and 1990. Three in 64 years (up to 2000) is not exactly setting the pace. To this point it is now 3 in 70+ yrs.

Eddie makes a fool of himself - again

Eddie is a very good on-air TV host and apart from that a journalist. With due respect that hardly gives you the credentials to become CEO. Throughout his tenure it was clear he was in a job that was way above his head.

Eddie makes a fool of himself - again

We all (every single one of us) as fans, supporters, members, attendees etc. own part of the game. If anybody, including, Eddie thinks he/she is above it (or owns it) then they are mistaken. My original point is, how can Eddie go on with such crap in his various media interviews (i.e...

Eddie makes a fool of himself - again

I beg your pardon? When Eddie was forced to leave, due to the job overwhelming him and exposing his lack of a skill-set for the position (if he wasn't so deserving of public humiliation it would otherwise have been cruel to watch) Channel 7 were leading the ratings.

Eddie makes a fool of himself - again

The same brain, that when tested for 'intellectual mass', failed to cut the mustard in executive management at Channel 9?

Eddie makes a fool of himself - again

Collingwood's best & fairest count proves the All-Australian selectors were spot-on the mark in their assessment of the Collingwood squad. Eddie, remember, was carrying on (surely not..) a few weeks back about how Lockyer and H.Shaw missing the AA squad of 40 was a disgrace etc. Well...

    Carlton can't lose ... WCE!

I disagree Mark. Judd would be great - at the right price. If the deal falls through we use picks 1 & 3 in the ND to add to our young developing list under Brett Ratten. I the Judd/Carlton/WCE deal falls through, WCE will lose out of it for than Carlton IMO.

    Carlton can't lose ... WCE!

Either way in the Judd scenario Carlton can't lose. West Coast either trade with Carlton or deliver Judd to Richmond free of charge (Via the PSD). Either way West Coast has little bargaining power. Deal or no deal. Either way WCE lose. It is called 'Karma'.

I would be happy. However, I would say to Chris, "33 votes out of a possible 51, room for improvement son"!

Judd -no chance for Brownlow 2008

Bob Skilton won 3 Brownlow Medals and played in one (1) final for his entire career. Kevin Murray and Hayden Bunton won Brownlow's without ever winning a premiership. Chris Judd has another Brownlow in him, provided his body enables him to perform to exceptional best. Nothing to do with the...

    No explanation!

No explanation required. Judd and Carlton have not broken any AFL rule in the past couple of weeks. All clubs chase players that will enhance their club, no questions asked! If it means one club gets its man, of course it is going to be at the expense of another club. What about...

    Knights to coach Essendon

I am in shock...and I don't support Essendon The last time Knights coached, his team was leading by 10 goals at half-time in a VFL final. That, however, was not enough. They were out-played, out-run and out-worked by North Ballarat and eventually defeated by the country lads! Fair dinkum...

    Knights to coach Essendon

Knight's won't follow in Sheeds' footsteps. Knight's is afraid of footsteps. Will he appoint a 'slapping coach' in case the players' cop a wack in a melee?

    Chris Judd = Selfish

Chris Judd is being selfish. Don't defend the fact. When was the last time a premiership captain and current captain of an AFL club turned his back on that club whilst he was clearly a required player by his original club? Furthermore, a team that is capable of future 'team success' (JUDD...

    Chris Judd = Selfish

I am serious. Judd's decision is solely about one thing and that is what is best for Chris Judd. That in my book is being selfish. By the way I am in very good company on this issue. Leigh Matthews, speaking at the AFL Media Awards this week, felt that Judd was placing himself as an...

    Chris Judd = Selfish

Clobba...with all respect how would you feel if Riewoldt turned his back on the Saints for Brisbane? Lenny Hayes for Sydney? Sam Fisher for Adelaide? I think the shoe would be on the other foot. That is why, is it not, the recruiters continue with their policy of picking the so-called...

    Chris Judd = Selfish

opng...thanks for your thoughts. However, when a player nominates for the draft they sign away their rights initially i.e. to the club that they are drafted to. If Judd was SO committed to leaving at the 'end of 2005 when he sat down' why didn't he request to be traded then? Because he new...
