Most of Doggies KPP players are forwards or only want to play forward. Jones is really the only true defensive KPP....Khamis was tried up forward first from memory, whilst Gardner and JOD seem 3rd defensive tall.....being pushed into those KP spots....
More than in the box seat considering SA play Vic M at AAMI this weekend......3 games at home should see SA win the champs then....touch wood Vic M can score a win and then set up a possible GF between Vic M and WA in the last week, with both sides knowing how much they need to win by due to SA...
Considering WA beat Vic C by 10 goals, then got beaten by SA by 6 goals...and Vic M fell over the line v Vic C...what do people think of Vic M chances v SA and WA.....only way SA won't win the champs, is if they get too complacent from the looks of things. WA will have to hope one of the Vic...
Still no SPS for WA? Wonder if he does play the last 2 games for WA will still be enough to secure him an A/A spot? Be also interesting to see how good this WA side really is, especially since that 10 goal win over VC was done without potentially their best player. How good are SA compared to...
Zurhaar hasn't played colts for EF for about 6 weeks due to injury, so great first up game for WA v the reigning champs in Vic C. Great win by the WA boys considering their best player wasn't on the park. Reckon once Petrevski-Seton comes back, the likes of Strnadica, Zurhaar etc will kick even...
I believe any opportunity to represent your state should be given a high precedence, who knows when you will get that chance again....but find it strange that if development is all about testing yourself against the best opponent, than shouldn't be in a comp, where your opponent maybe an ex AFL...
Out of interest what are the thoughts on the kids good enough to play league in say the SANFL or WAFL, choosing their own clubs league side over playing in the carnival. Surely a Petreviski-Seton would be better off playing for Cl league side instead of WA in the carnival? WA U/18 state squad...
spot on demon21......think both sides would like to have both boys in their set up TBH.......not to be and hopefully both can provide their respective fans many years of goal kicking enjoyment.......Hogan just looks more ready to go impact wise, Boyd is finding his way to a certain degree...
Read on the EF site that 7 EF boys got selected.....Snadden, Parish, Bennett, Harrold, Delaney, Cronan and Strnadica.....anyone got any info about these boys.....much appreciated if you have.....EF colts have begun the season well this year after struggling with a predominantly young side last...
perhaps Kane Lucas for Koby Stevens.......WA boy for a Vic boy......both at similiar developmental stages....both play midfield......obviously both talented just unable to find a spot in their current sides......though that could easily change come the seasons end......
can't believe EF Mitch Boyle hasn't been selected, in EF current unbeaten run of 8 games he would of been in EF best 3 at least 4 or 5 times. The kid made the senior country all stars team last year playing for Great Northern. The kid is all class and gets a lot of the footy. Max Duffy is now at...
I wonder if Freo would consider giving up Pavlich for say Jack Darling.....big call I know, but in reality, Pavlich has about 4 - 5 years of AFL left in him tops, whilst Darling has double that and more......Whilst Darling has a lot of what ifs about him....his body size and junior talent is...
Unfortunately the 2010 U/18 champs will highlight how good Bennell may be, so unless WCE can persuade the kid to tank in the champs and tank for Peel in the WAFL in 2010, I can see Bennell going top 10.....be interested to see how the kid fairs playing for Peel in the WAFL this year....with...
East Fremantle will have another good draft in 2010...Swallow, Cripps, Fasolo and another kid called Hancock will all be very strong draft prospects.....every year they seem to churn out draftees, who go on to play good AFL footy over time
Actually the kid turns 17 late November....thus he was only 16 and 1/2 years old when he won this years Larke Medal.....in fact he is still eligible to play in the next two u/18's carnivals.....if able to, I think the posssibility of winning 3 consecutive Larke Medals would of ended this debate...
why don't we have this conversation in 5 years time.....doesn't make sense comparing all these fella's at very diffferent stages in their development......why not guage them all after each has been in the AFL system for at least 3 years.....Who's to say Rich doesn't have the 2nd year blues...
I reckon you have already made my mind up for me anyway mate!!!
But hey for what its worth, lets look at Trengove......S.A boy who is an elite junior footballer, 185 - 187cm? midfielder.....great work ethic, great skills, great ball winner......then there is Morabito......local lad, who has an...
If those two boys are as good as you say, how good is David Swallow then? The kid is 16 and won the Larke medal, he would easily go number one this year, and the next and considering he's still eligible for u/18 footy till the end of 2011, he would go number one in 2011.
Considering WA won the state champs pretty easily, one would think thay would have a fair number of guys in for a good show for getting picked in round 1 and early round 2....Morabito, Lucas, Sheppard, Black, Duncan, Fyfe, Colyer and Hutchings......also if Darling, Swallow and Matera were old...
I hear EF have put a 40K transfer fee on Swallow's head......that is fair enough considering GC17 have openly said they will draft the kid in their top 3 picks next year....not bad money for an untried 16 year old.
Freo would be silly not drafting him, he's practically the same age as many of the Victorian youngsters who have been highlighted to go to Freo in the latter part of the draft......no go home factor involved and already a preseason in his body already. I think Freo should get him in the draft...
Out of interest, does Swallow's WAFL club East Fremantle get any money for GC17 taking him now instead of next year. Because when a kid gets drafted don't their local club get a fair sum of money for developing him? So by Swallow going now, does the AFL reimburse East Fremantle now or next year...
I have no doubt playing footy for Freo will test the kid psychologically as well:rolleyes:...I wonder if some tapes of Freo in action were put into the test for analysis.......
Are those psychological test results indicating Morabito is mentally challenged with an IQ of a peanut or perhaps the...
But the sound of Swallow sending lace out passes to Darling over the next 10 years sounds more viable to me......anyway when was the last Coleman Medallist 30 plus years old?
But hey keep Pav and use Sandilands as the bait......Sandi has dominated the ruck for the last two years and Freo...
totally agree....it would be Freo's worth to trade Pav next year or perhaps Sandilands for GC17 pick 1 or 2 next year.....WA boys Swallow or Darling should be around for any possible Freo success in the future!
David Swallow(midfielder) is more than good, the kid is still only 16 and will be at GC17 in 2011 along with Jack Darling(KPP) I reckon, unless some pretty big name players are used as bait for GC17's first couple of draft picks.
I've watched Swallow in the WAFL, whilst not the strongest of...
