Re: Carlton v North - Saturday 17th March 3.30pm Visy Park

Best 22 need to play next week (if fit). Should aim to smack them, winning form is good form leading into round 1. Even if it's just NAB.

FB: Duigan Watson Touhy
HB: Scotland Henderson Yarran
C: Simpson McLean Lucas
HF: Gibbs Waite Garlett
FF: Betts Hampson Walker

R: Krezuer Judd Murphy

I: Ellard, Joseph, Thornton, Curnow, Armfield, Russell, Bower, Joseph etc. etc.

Re: Carlton v North - Saturday 17th March 3.30pm Visy Park

Hope we play Bower on the wing again. The broadcast was choppy, yet I felt that he looked lively before he was moved to the backline. Wing might suit his running game. After Bower was moved back, he promptly went back to his old tricks and allowed Karnezis to lead him to the ball. Poor effort against a second year forward.

Rowe should play.

Expecting us to put in as full strength a side as we can. Probably the only preseason game we'll treat seriously.

At this stage I can say that I will be able to go, which is great.

Keen to get along to this game too. .. Might grab my membership while I'm there, assume they'll have to shop open too?

They have had the shop open for every preseason game that I can remember attending.

Can't see why they wouldn't. Will almost certainly be open.

Re: Carlton v North - Saturday 17th March 3.30pm Visy Park

I can confidently say that many of our boys have really been held back and so far showing nothing compared to their pre-season form.

In that grouping we have Gibbs, Lucas, Tuohy, Hampson and Walker (although he only had a few minutes on the track)
Clearly Judd and Waite were also asked just to have a bit of a gallop, so I'm looking forward to Judd putting the jets on, next Saturday.
Must say though a few of the boys have been somewhat disappointing. Joseph, Ellard, Armfield, Bower, Russell and Davies have done little to enhance their chances of a round 1 start.
No point judging the rest of the kids.

Unless something changes, we'll most likely see Jamison out there for at least a half against North.
I hope to see:

Tuohy Jamison Bower
Duigan Henderson Scotland
Simpson Curnow Yarran
Gibbs Waite Walker
Betts Rowe Garlett

Kreuzer Judd Murphy

Thornton Robinson Hampson Mclean Lucas Carrazzo Collins and Joseph

Russell, Armfield, Ellard and Watson should have a run around with the Northern Blues.

Re: Carlton v North - Saturday 17th March 3.30pm Visy Park

I'll be going. And I want to see a strong side and a good performance. Need at least a win going into rd1. We won some praccy matches last year well and then went on to have a good season. Don't want to go through the preseason winless.

We can always have another intra-club.

Re: Carlton v North - Saturday 17th March 3.30pm Visy Park

Wk4 NAB Cup games at Visy Park swapped due to Bris flight arrangements. Ess v Bris now Saturday at 3.30, and Carl v North on Sunday at 1pm.

The Lions must have the same airline as Essendon.

Patrick Keane?

I'll change the date & time once it's official on the CFC website.

Edit: date & time changed

Re: Carlton v North - Saturday 17th March 3.30pm Visy Park

It's been a bit of a cotton wool pre-season with senior playings getting a quarter/half of footy.

Ratts has pretty much given the list a taste of senior footy, and while no-one has jumped out of the blocks, getting game time into the second/third tier players as experience should bode well for the future.

Would expect a better showing against the Kangas with most of the big kids out there.

No need to jump off a bridge yet, gang. :)

Re: Carlton v North - Saturday 17th March 3.30pm Visy Park

That sucks.

I have my graduation on that day and it would've been cool to just drop in on the way home and watch a half.

Not sure I could be bothered coming in just to watch a practice match the next day though.

Re: Carlton v North - Saturday 17th March 3.30pm Visy Park

You got me.

I simply don't care about NAB Cup or practice games. I'm sure this is a thought process unique to North Melbourne supporters as you can tell by the sellout crowds we've witnessed throughout this preseason.
