Cue a new thread: *ROAST* It's only round 5!!

After all, we've played 5 top 4 sides to start the year, 2 and 3 is a great result. We've led and controlled large parts of each game, and all it takes is kicking straight, unbiased umpires, Birchall and gilham to return, or a sprinkling of pixie dust and presto, the premiership cup is headed back to Waverly.

Reality is we are massively overrated, overhyped, mentally weak and on the way down.

Midfield is past it as a group, defenders are undersized and forward line goes missing for quarters at a time (both literally and in terms of impact.

Still too good to miss finals, but don't expect us to do anything once we get there.

Whitecross and Suckling to have a rest and some kicking practice first changes i'd make.
Second would be dont let Buddy play on the wing and in the middle it tires him out more than people would like to admit.
Play people in the best positions maybe i dunno.

Schneider in. Hill in. Gunston in. Birchall in.

No idea, it doesn't matter. We won't recover from it.

Out - Slow highly talented and skilled players who don't get the hard Ball and expect it to all happen for them

In - average players that are happy to have a crack play with some ticker And who get the job done week in week out!

Fortress Tasmania LOL

its season over because we cant run out a game. today we completely stopped after half-time.

Clarko said we would need to be up and about early in the season. if we are 'up and about' that means we are completely f****d. we can adress a lack of fitness now we are gonna struggle all season.

2009 all over again.

There are those of us who have been expressing concerns over our losses to Geelong and West Coast. We've been told we don't know what we're talking about and that the Hawks are still in very good shape.

Seeing as we are travelling so well, I'll refrain from further comment.

oh and i thought it was great to see the home crowd get behind one of their favourite sons in Adam Goodes. Always good to play milestone games like that with all the supporters.

Seriously p*ssweak effort tassie members.

Not going to shitcan the whole season as disappointed as I am. There is plenty of time to turn it around but our really good players are woefully out of form. Rioli, Franklin, Mitchell are all miles off it right now. Hodge coming off a long break. Gibson off early and Birch is out.

Midfield needs to be refreshed because it is getting outworked in the packs and in space. Savage was pretty good today I thought and Burger was decent too. Worth starting with Lewis, Burger, Savage and Whitecross in there next week. Mitch has been played into form off half back before and I think he should start there.

I could have copped the loss today but that final fifteen minutes was extremely gutless.

A non existent midfield is the key reason we lost today - here is a suggestion - go and get the ball rather than wait for the opposition to get it then tackle. Can not believe Hawthorn could not touch the ball in the centre bounces at all during the last quarter. Smashed around stoppages for the whole day also.

Clarkson has a lot to think about.

I've lost interest in the season now. Who cares about next weeks game. We just Fu..ed up the season today! 2-3, no top 4 for us, thank-you hawthorn! Glad you can get 60,000 members and repay us all by that sh.t today?

What do you say? Dis interested, overpaid clowns!

Blood the kids. Give those who are starting out a real crack, and those living off the 2008 flag...back to the hill.

+1 for that. Embarrassing to watch. Anyway I think Osborne has to get back into form at a lower level, he tries hard but is anonymous when we need him (not that he was alone in that today). Roughead and Buddy constantly rotating positions killed any rhythm either had in their game, especially for Roughead after half time. Playing him in the ruck right after kicking 5 goals was not Clarkson's finest moment and Buddy again was indecisive in the midfield. Seasons not over after round 5 we just have to play it smart.

A change here or there is not going to fix some of the issues we have, as follows

* Ageing midfeilders Mitchell/Sewell/Burgouyne, we are starting to get shown up badly in the middle, certrainly looked inept today against Kennedy & Co after 1/2 time.
* Vunerable backline when isolated one out- as shown when Gibbo was subbed off
* Confused Forwards- Clarksons insistance on playing a 100 goal a year full forward up the ground, has helped bring the great Lance Franklin back to a mere crumbing high half forward, at least played Rough deep today so some light there, please play buddy out of the square.Hardwick has done the same thing to Jack Reiwoldt
* Hodges decline- Looks slow, know it was his first game back, but his decision making/disposal was poor and has been for some time, he is not imposing himself on games as once was. Once was a Warrior !!
*Leadership- We are not able to stop momentum, our experienced core group go inot their shells
* Cyril- While no person doubts his skill, 15-16 disposals a game is not enough for a guy with his talent, we have all overated the speed of his development, while I have no doubt he will mature into a champion, he is not there yet
* Curious game plan- Clarko's insistance on playing big numbers around the ball and back and not structuring up forward, taxing on players, they are running out of gas consistantly, shocking too watch, we go to every Melb game but I am going to treat myself and have the weekend off this week against Saints as I cant bear to sit through another 2 hours of this rubbish footy, it is overcomplicated dribble, LET THEM PLAY !! GIVE THEM THEIR HEADS!!

Big club, big membership base, they must be held accountable, what has been delivered today is not acceptable.

Outs: Osborne, Rioli, Stratton
Ins: Smith, Boumann, Hill

Schneider to come in for Shiels in the next couple of weeks.

Forget Birchall, lets face it we wont be seeing him for another 6 weeks.
