I think it's fair to say we are better than bottom, as ar Melb... But i think Freo are an example of no game is easy in AFL... I honestly believe, we are a chance.

I thin the fact we have been $7 and $6.5 on the betting the past 2 weeks and this week we are in to $3, says something....

Easy to have faith when your team has contested successive grand finals, and been more than competitive in the years before that.

Our club has been a farce for 25 years, and we can't be 100% sure yet that it will turned around. The RFC has stuffed things up too many times.

Having said that, we would love to have faith in this club...but unfortunately many of us and don't for very good reason.

You know, it's threads like this that make me fear for the club.

'supporters' who seem to like nothing better than whining about how badly the club is going, and how the current people are so awful because they didn't deliver the quick fix they demand, usually ignoring tiny details like the club is broke, and WCE wont really be too keep to swap Judd for our third round pick, even if we do have the priority pick.

Of course, you'll all claim to be willing to cope with the long term, but seem to think that this means next week, or that the next few years will be a consistent climb up the ladder. Often they're the same people who tell us to 'play the kids', then seem shocked that the kids aren't consistent match winners, and putting the blame on the few decent experienced players we do have for not making up for it.

The fix is already in process. It will take YEARS to come to fruitition. Barring a few freaks, young players need at least 50-100 games to become decent players and carry their 'share' of the load a winning team must bear consistently. That's 3-5 YEARS of playing before they're at that level, and we're talking most the playing 22 not having even that level of experience.

Some days, it'll click, and we'll look brilliant, other days, it wont, and we'll look crap. Hopefully, the brilliant days will become more common and the crap days less so, but that's going to take time.

Remember also, that injury has hurt us badly this year compared to last. Brown didn't play much last year, but how many wins did we get when he did? Simmonds played the year, but this year, we've been running around with probably our 4th choice ruckman, meaning our inexperienced midfield is finding it even harder.

So for all you 'supporters' who just want to whine and use 20-20 hindsight to say how much better you would have done things, either grow up or go hide under your rock for a few years.
