Took some unbelievable contested marks in the last. Stood up when we needed him to. He actually is unstoppable at full reach.
In the 3rd however he cost us a goal, mind you he pushed hard to get to a loose ball inside 50, but he was ****ing spent afterwards.
We got a goal but he was then put in the middle cause Preuss needed a breather, and Majak could barely jump.
Predicted it before the bounce happened that Blicavs would jump all over him due to how spent he was and as predicted Dangerfield broke away.

His effort not to chase number 2 from the kick in that lead to a goal got him benched. I feel if both he and Preuss could run out games then we wouldnt have lost. They looked knackered by the last.

Will be better for the run though and loved that he stood up in the last.

He arrived as a genuine AFL player today. Gutsed it out despite copping two injuries (ankle from BBB and the knee), taking crucial contested marks and making good decisions with the pill.

His immediate aim needs to be: Be a consistent solid contributor.

Once he nails that the shit only he can do will just be delicious icing.

Awesome game.

I think the two-tall forward line suits him - more room to move and greater responsibility put on his shoulders.

Hope he goes on with it.

He can be proud of his efforts and use it as validation for the work he is putting in according to Mejekdraw. Really pleased for him.

The guy can't catch a break. Starts to show form and then gets injured or dropped to make way for someone else.

Rookie mistake at the kick in. We usually have a small there which is interesting.

There was a couple of times when Majak chose to tap to someone rather than take possession. Both created goals. I said to myself "he gets it at last".

He looked dangerous whenever the ball went near him in the forward line and his marking was as clean as I've seen it.

Yep!

The highlight reel is one thing, but I've never been as interested in that as I have been in the 'lowlight reel'. Eliminate the stupid, clumsy, lazy (unfit), and unreliable stuff and he gets a gig every week. That's why this week was a good sign. The highlight stuff is icing on the cake that - with cult figure Brown and poster boy Wood alongside him in the forward line - the marketing department will salivate over.

2 tall forward line suits him very well. Moving forward once Wood is ready that should be our 3 tall forward line as wood is that little bit smaller and more mobile.

Not on your there Kimbo ( highlights)- he needs to hit the track hard, seems to miss to many sessions with injury real or Wells like I dunno. I hope with continual AFL time he will realise what it takes to be ****ing awesome............. he has the tools!

He actually did that regularly last year. Very creative too.

Perhaps it may even turn into a circle jerk? Not sure what's standard protocol in the marketing department...But no doubt salivation and icing the cake are key buzz words.....

Someone commented back when Leigh Harding returned from a knee reco that he seemed a smarter player, like it had taken the edge off his sheer pace and he was a better player for it.

In a similar way wonder if Majak losing one of his main attributes (athleticism) + him buying into the 'fight it out' mentality lead to him playing much smarter and more effectively? He takes that approach back into his 100% fit body and he really has something.

Has anyone mentioned that epic spoil he did on the wing? Thought it was one of his best games for the club and played a really crucial role.

Yeah, was fantastic. Then there was the free given and we started screaming at the umpire thinking he had called the spoil deliberate OOB. Turns out it was a down field free.

I don't know how much faith to put into these 'Official AFL Player Ratings,' but Majak was 4th best after Higgins, Cunnington and Dumont for us. Needs to be the standard going forward for him. If he can take 3-4 contested marks a game, kick 1 goal a game, he'll become one of our most important players.

That's not far off where I rated his game to be honest. His work around the ground was Petrie like at his best. Great get out option, defending well. Good hustle.
