Would he get picked up by another club if he was delisted at the end of the year? I'd be happy to keep him on the list, with the clear proviso that he isn't in the best 23. I have my issues with Gresham but he would be one of the better back-up small forwards in the league, and is young enough to be around when we (in theory) get towards contention.

He has been BOG average. Produces zero to no pressure and cheats out the back constantly which means when he does get it he can be dangerous, even then he ****s it up more often than not by being selfish.

Sharp in is good. He is made for big stages like ANZAC day.

I expect it's very likely he has a trigger for an extra year which would also affect how they approach selection with him going forward.

It depends pretty heavily on his performance from here.
If he comes back in the team and continues his form of the last few weeks, then I think he is well worth keeping on the list. But if you returns to last year’s form where he couldn’t get near it and almost refused to try, then I’d let him go.

As it aside, very stiff to be dropped and I think we could have used his pressure as a small forward more than another tall. To clarify, I’m going off the named team, which is far too tall up forward -though he probably won’t line up like that, so who knows.

That would give us 3 live picks on draft night. Tough decisions ahead but I think Gresham is in real trouble.

Gresham, Guelfi, Gerreyn, Perkins, Cox, Unwin, Tsatas, Hayes, Johnson & Prior

PLUS 7 rookies without a deal for next year either:

Bourke, Setters, McMahon, Edwards, ADW, Nguyen & SEH
I'd be inclined to keep the players in bold, the rest delist or trade if we can get anything..

Barring 2025 injury levels I can’t see Cox playing too much senior footy. His body type is just not made for senior footy.

Don't know that I agree with this if it's solely body type that's the issue. Nick Blakey has a similar build but his speed allows him to play differently. Young years Jake Melksham was also very slight and is now just frame and muscle. Cox would have to develop a Melksham body and play a third tall role I reckon, but his skill set should sustain him. I'm just afraid his head rattles. One more concussion could be devastating.

We'll have to think carefully. After all if you replace him we will need to know where those 2 kicks will come from otherwise we are only going backwards.
