A much needed list spot esp for East coast sides. And thats not a reason
Unless we can put on the indigenous extra player spot
Ganes based trigger for 4th year, you have got to be kidding me
Jesus Adrian
Stop playing him now please
I always find games-based triggers to be an odd thing to have in a contract. An agreement by two parties where one party has the power to entirely manipulate the outcome. If the club wants to keep him, they'll select him and he'll meet the trigger. If they don't want to keep him, they won't select him.Ganes based trigger for 4th year, you have got to be kidding me

scott has spent the season finding whatever reasons he can not to play Gresham and he has probably been unlucky not to play more games, to the point that today it was nguyen trying to crumb a goal with 10 minutes to go to keep us in the game to.I worry Scott will get desperate and pull the trigger. Wonder the number of games to get an extra year

Whispers that he will explore the market as we don't want to trigger his extension of 800k I think the club are possibly eying him to go on the indigenous list spot that the AFL will be opening up for each team
Think he is out the door regardlessClassic Essington if true.
You can’t have both of those things. You either value him and respect him and pay him in line with what you offered him which is either the 800k or a longer extension at less money per year. And put him in that list spot.
Or you just waive him and let him go and use that list spot on someone else who helps progress things forward.

Just passing it onThis has been true for 8 months.
If there was any taker out of the 17 last October, he'd be wearing a different jumper.
Think he is out the door regardless
Could get a third rounder for him i think
AgreedDidn’t seem to work out here and doesn’t suit the list build at present so I wouldn’t be too worried about getting anything more then an open list spot.
Has been a good VFL player and probably plays some good footy somewhere next season
UFAThink he is out the door regardless

oh well a free list spot is better then nothing
Best case scenario he goes to say, Sydney, who will want to avoid impacting Amartey compo (as an example) and trade us a F3oh well a free list spot is better then nothing
Agreed
So far i have imo these players gone
Tsatas McMahon Guelfi Gresh Cox Setterfield who are out of contract
Trade wise i have Merrett and Ridley
So i believe we would have 8 spots but we would have to factor in Martin coming back from LTI so thats 7 then if our MSD gets extended we would be at 6
I think Scott knows it isn't good long term but gets desperate hoping for the decent game out of every 12 he plays. We really can't have this guy next year possibly on 700-800k chewing up a spot.scott has spent the season finding whatever reasons he can not to play Gresham and he has probably been unlucky not to play more games, to the point that today it was nguyen trying to crumb a goal with 10 minutes to go to keep us in the game to.
so I dunno know, at the moment Scott seems more desperate not to play Gresham, to the point that it arguably helped cost him a win today
oh of course not. I would have just paid him out last year, I don't see why that would have been a problem. the sheer thought of him hitting the contract trigger is horrifyingI think Scott knows it isn't good long term but gets desperate hoping for the decent game out of every 12 he plays. We really can't have this guy next year possibly on 700-800k chewing up a spot.
There’s gonna be at least 4, maybe 5 forced changes next week. I think the cupboard is probably a bit bare for dropping guys just to avoid a games triggerEnjoy the VFL for the rest of the year.
I would rather play one short. There’s gonna be at least 4, maybe 5 forced changes next week. I think the cupboard is probably a bit bare for dropping guys just to avoid a games trigger
