Yikes he was so, so bad. Think he'll get dropped despite 4 injuries. When you consider his last senior game prior to this he only had 2 kicks. His only chance to come back is even more injuries (which knowing us should only take a week or two).

Torn meniscus and PCL reconstruction in 2022. Was never the same after it. Lost a bit of his pace and agility. Also had a few soft tissue injuries before that.

I def agree it’s what did it, but should you really lose speed after these types of injuries? They don’t seem too insurmountable. I feel like the better HP programs like Geelong and Brisbane would have had him purring?

There was some footage of first crack (?) where his man ran off him early in the game, and he basically just didn’t bother chasing him - the guy is playing for his career, I’d have thought he’d be fighting tooth and nail to hang on - but no, he just can’t be stuffed. Pretty much sums up his time with us.

He tore his achilles in 2021, i think that has contributed to loss of pace and depth in his kicking. He can barely kick over a a jam jar now

That makes more sense. Yeah that one destroys speed, power, and everything basically.
I suppose he came for free and we desperately needed another small forward so his acquisition made sense at the time, but yeah, definitely time to move on unfortunately for Jade.

I think we had heaps of cap space we had to use too.
The dumb part was getting sucked in by saints to up our offer to him, they had no intention of retaining him but used us to get higher compo.
