Matt Hill calling the men's downhill skiing on Ch.9 and doing a fine job. What an all-round professional.
He barely said a thing, he let the side chick co commentator do everything and she was absolutely rubbish. 'We call this is a -- in the sport' and four other boring lines on constant rotation. If you're commentating a nicher sport, say what's difficult or explain what's happening.

They were shithouse and Matt Hill is too. Boring as ****.

Kenny Hinkley is a lot more upbeat and positive than ol' mate Kornes.

Will be keen to hear how he goes with Uncle Gerard (Healy).
I haven't heard Kenny yet.. Not looking forward to Healy coming back, he's so boorish. And his big editorials are nothing special imo. Wants the bump banned aswell.

Matt Hill is easily the best sports broadcaster in the country at the moment. Brenton Speed would be up there too, the most versatile caller there is.

Who would be your choice as someone not "boring"?

just outta curiosity how long since Healy practiced his qualification ?
It might be as long as 30 years. I spoke to him one day about 25 years ago. I asked him about his physio stuff, and he said way back then that he hadn't done it for a while, basically since he got too busy at Channel 7 and 3AW. I think he had a practice in Seaford

Hills a pretty good race caller that's it

It might be as long as 30 years. I saw him one day about 25 years ago on Beach Rd when he lived in Black Rock or Beaumaris. I had a little fanboy moment, so we chatted for a couple of minutes as he was walking home from the Beaumaris Pub, and I was rolling along on my bike. I asked him about his physio stuff, and he said he hadn't done it for a while, basically since he got busier at Channel 7. I think he had a practice in Seaford
He's a nice bloke actually , not a rat like a Rex Hunt or Dunstall who hate the public

He's a little taller than I would've guessed. :smilev1: AFL Tables says he's 184cm, but he looked at least 6ft 1

I went to a gym in Dingley for a little while. A bloke there told me a grouse and believable conspiracy theory about why Gerard really retired early, but I can't remember it. :tongueoutv1: The official story obviously goes that he didn't wanna aggravated his badly injured wrist, because he planned to be a physio for a long time. However, I think the bloke said it was really about a contract payout. Eh, I've got no idea

I can assure you it was his wrist , so he told you rubbish

Pipe with something special today , someone asked would he have Razor on this year ,sai he will probably be on with GW as always and then said he loves afl talk so much between 12 and 2pm he probably wouldn't put Michael Jordan on if he called in , this has to be his best

So much for the Midday Madness Guarantee

So, did you know you can bet on the NFL all this season that's just begun? Because today driving to work, there was an ad telling me so.

Its CRAZY here in S.A! (Even though I don't listen!) We get half an hour of "The Two Keiths"
Then the new "Powerhouse" of Kimbo & The 3rd Korn on the Network from 3-4:30 (it used to go until 5:30 last year) then it goes back to Keiths then into "Sportsday with Stinkley"
It's a Hutchblob's Breakfast!

Nah in SA it runs like this
Breakfast (Fireball Mon / Friday, SA Wed - Thurs)
8.30-11.30 Whatley
11.30 - 2.30 Dwayne
2.30 - 4.30 Dillon and Cornes (SA Run Home)
4.30 - 5.30 Gayze and Maher (Vic Run Home)
5.30pm Sportsday

The SA Run home is half an hour earlier this year, it never went to 5.30pm, it was always 3 - 5pm.

Basically no change to last year except we get Maher and Gaze after the SA Run Home rather than the first half an hour.
