He strikes me as a better natural player than Charlie atm.

Based upon only last season and a couple of practice matches this year, then if Lachie Young is getting a game, Jack will be stiff to miss out.

They're an achievement if you over achieve and fall into finals... not when you underachieve and blow top 4 chances through inconsistency.

When the midfield is generating play he's a very good contributor.

When the midfield isn't generating play he struggles.

He didn't look 100% for mine. Wasn't able to the break the lines like he can when at his best and our inside mids were comfortably beaten after quarter-time.

Disappointing effort when Butters outmarked him though. Needed to show a bit more intensity.

He will be fine when we get Cunners and Jed back feeding him on the outside. The gameplan suits him as much as anyone on the list.

In the heat of the game emotions had me cursing him.

On reflection he was underdone both touch and fitness wise. But I can understand why we played him because we were already so light on for experience and he was the only high grade, mature outside option we have.

Needed the run and if he was a fan favourite his shortcomings yesterday would've been excused more kindly by lots on here.

In my eyes Zurhaar and Larkey are MUCH bigger concerns.

Stephenson is basically the player we wanted Polec to become anyway. He’s also 6 years younger and didn’t cost us a mid first round pick in the strongest draft in a decade.

Unfortunately nobody will take him on the contract we gave him unless we pay for him to play elsewhere.

Hilariously (or not so much) we are stuck with him on big coin for another 3 seasons.
