Just checked my email from them. So there are marquee players then the rest.
Platinum sponsorship is for 17 marquee players only, $6950.
Gold sponsorship - marquee player (14 in this group) $3190 rest of squad $2790.
Silver sponsorship marquee player $2190 & rest of squad $1690.
They used to have cheaper rookie sponsorships too but thats no longer available.
But I’d suggest if you're interested to get in touch with the club & put your name down on the waiting list for an email from them ASAP cos as i said earlier they dont usually have a heap of players actually available. If need be sponsor an unknown, get your foot in the door so to speak & see what happens in a season or 2.
It is great though getting to know them, players havei crazy “fans” whom football means the world to they speak to all the time, i think they appreciate (once you get over that “wow” factor ) when we speak to them as friends & as “people” & not so much footballers. Google them & find out something other than footy to talk about. Doc grew up on my beach on Phillip Island so i talk to him about that, Matt Kennedy is a farm kid & has strong catholic beliefs so i talk to him about my 10 acre farm & beliefs, Fish went to Guildford as does our close friends sons, one plays basketball with his brother so i always talk about them, Levi’s a young father & his boy is such a cute little man i see at reserves games running about so i talk about kids.
The players talk football from about 7am til late afternoon 6 days a week, sometimes its nice to talk about something else.

Good luck with your sponsorship - hope you get on board cos it’s going to be good times in the not topo distant future.

Smiths Beach ?
Nope. “Crazy birds”.. Surf beach.

Funnily enough it isnt called “crazy birds” because of the hundreds of thousands of shearwater’s (also called mutton birds) who fly to the area every year to bread & can fly in every different direction all at the same time yet never crash just meters off the cliff face & ground, its called it because of the reaction woman have had the 33 years i’ve been going there...

Was 14 the first summer there. You could count the people on my beach then on both hands. Now its crowded, might be a hundred or so now!

There was an Australian actor who was on Melrose place or a similar show who also lived there, sam grew up around the corner from my place. Think he was there til about 14 or so.

I know crazy birds very well, we had a beach shack on Stradbroke Cres, I’m now in Newhaven

Not sure about your version of crazy birds vinnie ;)

what a thoughtful, informative, generous post :thumbsu:
Thats the kinda guy i am !... i’m Trying to show my boys how to be good men - this sponsorship thing is an expensive business but my sons are getting to see a side of football that isnt all “TV & glamor” but hard work & dedication. They get to speak to them & see & hear they are just “people” as well.

If the ONLY knock on him is his defensive pressures I’ll take that all day long, can be fixed very easily. We know what we’re getting with Walsh,it’s the unknown with Liam that is making us excited.

We've walked away with Walsh and a player who Knightmare ranked 12th best in the land just one month ago...you know, the time he starts adjusting his power rankings to match the notable phantom drafts.

This gets us a league worst ranking of D apparently. Try as he might, can't hide those black and white pantaloons.

Knightmare’s knowledge is incredibly overrated in BF circles. Go through his power rankings from previous years and you’ll see just how inaccurate his predictions are. He didn’t rate Charlie Curnow or Tim Taranto in their respective draft years, just to give you one example (of hundreds).

I get the feeling that kind of shite will only motivate this kid; he seems to have that "ill show you" type of character.
Anyone recall Cripps going out and getting a running coach after his first season.
I hope this kid is just as determined and becomes the player the club thinks he will be.

Crippa is a special character in that regard. At least when you have a player like that as captain. that attitude has a better chance of infecting others. Fingers crossed it does in this case.

When it comes problems you can fix, I would think endurance is one of the least worrying problems. Especially when it's tracking upwards the more time he's had to work on it. I've been super impressed with the character of Liam btw.

Richmond’s best player had endurance issues early on in his career.
Clayton Oliver was a chubby ginger.
First way to improve something is to acknowledge the problem, then go about fixing it.
Seems the kid has identified a weakness and has already started to improve. That’s alright by me.
Now he just needs to become that Dusty / Oliver hybrid in the next 18 months or so.
No pressure.

Rated Reece McKenzie top 3 or something from memory.

All we hear is media blah blah....

“ no disrespect to Jarrod Harbrow as a player, he is a quality quality footballer, but to see it was he who got up and present the jumpers last night, kind of points to the lack of soul and superstar players at Gold Coast,” Pearce told SEN Breakfast.

not saying he is not a quality footballer or person but in terms of his profile and in comparison to the club captain’s that got up there, maybe it is pointing towards the next chapter of the Gold Coast that he might be elevated into a position like that, but it was a very different choice.

The AFL should really be demanding better examples from these muck journalists trying to bury 17/18 year olds who have just been drafted.

I happened on Daisy Pearce on Friday morning I think on SEN who was saying crap like “imagine being one King boy you get to have your mums cooking and go down the road to the club you supported and now play for... and then your the other who has to go to Gold Coast”

That kind of drivel is not required. Sure the Suns don’t seem like an ideal destination but a “poster girl” of the AFL effectively apologising to a kid who goes to a club she clearly doesn’t respect - I hope that the Suns remember when she’s up there doing commentary duties and give her nothing. I hope Ben, Luko and the Suns can all turn that club around (not against us) and be good players and champion that club for a decade.

She also commented on the Stocker trade and selection saying how would he feel. Could have gone to a premiership contender... now has to be part of a rebuilding club.

I thought she was better than that but really sounds like she’s let the ego of being in the industry get to her brain.

I would love one day for these draftees to tell the offending people like Ralph and Pearce to “GAGF” when they get approached for comment.

So many parasite commentators flogging opinion as fact in media... it’s why I hardly ever tune in.

With the King brothers, She is pointing out the reality of the situation

Stocker would unlikely get too many games at Richmond for the next couple of years.
