I have mentioned a few times how I would like Waite to play CHB.Has all the traits to be a great footballer except kicking for goal therefore shouldnt be up front.Love his leap,grab,pace and reads the play well.These last 5 weeks should be used to groom him at CHB then we will have a better idea if we need Hansen or not

i don't think we can get 14 wins next year but you never know

if you get wins early in the year, build some confidence and have some luck anything can happen.

IMO we should be looking at a min of 8 wins.

I agree that we can become a 3-6 goal better team (if not more) just by doing a few simple things.

set shots from 50- we need to improve here. missing a set shot from 50 is just as bad as a turnover in the midfield.
If you miss you turnover posession and you have also released pressure on the opposition and you deflate your team.
if you score you get 6 points, you build pressure on the opposition, you go back to the midde for a 50/50 contest and you build confidence
(lets say this gives us 2 goals and the opposition 1 less goal)

depth- this is obviously going to improve, for a number of years we have lacked depth, that can be seen by all, at season end we will get rid of at least 6 players who are not upto it. we will get some new kids in and the current kids we have will be better off, they will have another pre season under their belt and they will have had another year of senior football under their belt also. there will also be more competition for spots which should create more competiveness within the playing group and hopefully players will strive to be better.
(lets say this gives us 1 goal)

1%- if every player increased their current output 1 %ers by just 1 for each category (tackle, shepherd, spoil) then there would be 66 more ocassions in a match where we are putting the opposition under pressure.
(lets say this gives us 2 goals and the opposition 2 less goal)

turmovers- we need to reduce our turnovers as they hand posession back to the opposition and turnovers stop us from attacking. even 5 less turnovers a game would be a benefit.
(lets say this gives us 1 goals and the opposition 1 less goal)

this is very simplistic but are all area's we an improve

if you are prepared to do the hard work, then you will be rewarded with results.

I would be hoping just to get out of the bottom four and be able to play games from start to finish. 2008 I'll be thinking finals.

Agree I don't think we can make the eight next year, but if we keep developing our list the way we now are, the eight in 2008 is a definite possibility.
