Non-contact for another week but otherwise has a full training load.

ā€œHurls had a shoulder reconstruction and he’s really at the end of his rehabilitation phase. He’s been training essentially fully with the group except for contact,ā€ Rundle said on Tuesday.

ā€œHe’s at the end of his contact progressions now and should be integrating fully with the group within the next week or so.ā€

And back in the leadership group too.

Hey Bomber fans - just a quick one:

What were some of the knocks on Hurley when playing as forward?

.... or was he shifted down back purely for team balance?

Continuity was a big problem for Hurley up forward. He simply got injured far too often and always seemed to be trying to play himself back into form.

I thought he was a solid forward who could have been a very good forward had he been able to put an entire season together. He was never going to be a leading goalkicker though.

His move back was probably a combination of team balance but also an attempt to keep him on the field.

Hurley led under the ball, and would attack so hard at the contest, that he was constantly injured.

funny how that one game, vs hawthorn where he kicked 4 and dragged us over the line to reach the finals basically stalled his defensive development til now... if only he didnt show that he could do that, he would have been a 4 time aa defender by now.

Remember that time Gold Coast wanted Hurley for Josh Caddy?

BAHAHAHAHAHAHA **** off campaigners.

I know the care factor is about zero but in the Adelaide Advertiser today Michelangelo Rucci has drawn up his top 50 for the season. Alex Rance comes in at 13 whereas Hurley comes in at 45. BTW the only other Essendon player named was Hep at 44.

Rucci is a raging dickhead.

Here's hoping Hurley stays, would be a massive, massive lost.
Best backman in the competition*

*Rance can't kick, Hooker is a swingman.

Would be more disappointing to lose Hurley than Hooker.

In saying that, why not keep both you say?

We can only hope
