1985 video help please

hoping that maybe someone on here can assist me with this request.

i am looking for the ch 7 replay of r5 1985 collingwood v sydney at vic park. i have contacted ch 7, they cannot help me, also tried name a game/sports delivered, the AFL, the clubs, youtube, torrents, nobody seems to have it.

This game was only broadcast by ch 7, the abc did not cover this game .

For the record, collingwood 15.15.105 def swans 13.12.90
Daicos - 6, Taylor 5, Mcmullin 2, Dickson 1, Raines 1

any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

its been a bit slow, its getting harder and harder to find old home and away games from the 1980's. I still need a further 66 televised games for the period of 1982-1989

its for my own personal collection, something i have been working on for the last few years now.
i do not think you can put a question out on ebay anymore.

Channel 7 will have it they just can't be assed getting it out of the archives.
If you fork out the archival and transfer fees they will give it to you but it will cost you min$1000
Try the sports museum otherwise at mcg.

There was a lot of cost cutting going on at channel seven in 1987

Then when Skase bought channel seven in late 1987 , pretty sure a lot of their 70's 80's Footy archive were dumped at the tip , to make way for more office space at Dorcas street.

So it would all be lost forever.

Pity no one had the foresight then to save any of it.

What about an ad in the paper? There is a section, not sure which day, where people post ads looking for info re long lost relatives, or school reunions etc, all sorts of memorabilia. I think it's the herald sun

yes, its the desperately seeking section of the sunday herald sun. i had an ad in there 2 weeks ago, got a good response, but not too many people could really help me with what i am looking for.

Have you tried ringing in to 3AW on a Sat or Sun morning? The have a program called Buy, Swap and Sell and the host is a Collingwood supporter. He may put a call out for you. (Only time I listen to that station, quite funny what people want to buy or sell).

i have tried buy swap and sell on several occasions, for very little result.
