Anyone else frustrated when you come up against 2 players? It's such an advantage I actually just put my controler down and don't bother.

Surely a patch is required that pairs 2v2 players up.

The patch that has just come out is supposed to fix the problem but if it can find a match it expands the search thus bringing 2 player teams and custom teams into consideration and matches the best player it can against you.

But that being said smart play can beat a team of 2 a team of 3 plus is a different story if they are beating me i like to give them a taste of their own medicine and rush a behind or let them kick a behind.

And when they do just play on and wait till they come at you then rush a behind keep doing this untill they leave or or the end of the quater or game.

I personaly dont care if i lose or win a game against a good or bad player if they play fair and use standard teams.

But if they cheat and have more than one player and use custom teams i would love to smash them but if i cant i give it back to them by not letting them touch the ball and and letting them know that they only scored so many points because i wanted them too and that the only reason they won the game is because i let them.

Ross has said that disallowing 2 v 1 would stamp out certain players, thus the game would be played less, and therefore would be harder to warrant the next iteration. It's fair enough. I know you could have the argument that you'd stop playing it...but, you wouldn't, really. I've had the same thoughts but of course i still play it. IMO the custom teams are a much bigger problem. People make them because they can't win any other way, that is not the case with 2 v 1. 2v1 happens because people just wanna play with mates, which i think is fair game i guess

At least you have the choice to make your own custom team to compete on a level playing field.

With 2 v 1 you have no way of making it even.

It also screws the leaderboard (if thats what you're into), there was some dude in this thread bragging because he and his brother had a 30 game winning streak or something.

The suggestion I would make would be to alert the other user that they're coming up against 2 or 3 players. That way you can either choose to play them, or not.

I certainly wouldn't.

It's nigh impossible to win, as they bump you out of every contest, and take advantage of the automatic sucking in of players, despite you angrily telling your players not to.

Once I realise I can't beat them, if they're playing dirty, I just return the favour, and bump the crap out of them in every contest, and continue to rush behinds and chip it around to minimise the damage.

I once played a pair like that. Souped up Freo, with Sandy, Judd, Franklin, Tippett, etc. All they ever did was punch, run, bump, goal. So yeah, like you i got sick of it and pulled the dick move of rushing behinds, playing on, and then rushing another behind repeatedly. Their final score was something like 19.58, they sent a message calling me everything they could think of, i just sent back saying he and his mate need to practice their kicking because 19.58 is a shocking conversion rate.

There was one occasion where I managed to beat a pair, because they were really obvious in their tactics. They would wait for me to tackle them, then handpass to the other one behind every time.

After quarter time, I stopped tackling, and instead bumped them, then picked off their handpass and eventually scored.

The thing is, smart players adjust, which is what I did; they did not.

They continued to do it every single contest, so I went from 3 or 4 goals down to end up winning by around 50 points.

Yep, copped a message not long after saying that I was lucky to win or something.

Yeah i have created a custom team to simply stay competitive. Wish i didn't have to use though. Bah.

I understand where BigAnt is coming from when they say that the two+ players need to find matches as well, but it should be at least an unranked match IMO as it's clearly an advantage that not everyone will be able to obtain.

It's very frustrating. 2v1 matches, at least without warning, should never have been allowed in ranked matches.
