2 weeks in a row: Failure to select specialist small/medium defenders costing us.

I was really surprised that Browne or Armfield were not played from round 1. Most opposition sides have small, diving, cheating types like Didak, Milne or Nathan Brown. Armfield specialises in shutting these types down. Some other people have also brought up the valid point that lack of midfield defensive pressure is killing us. Have to agree. All midfielders need to develop their defensive side, and Judd's defensive spoiling efforts in the middle in the second half were just as important as his clearances IMO. All of our other midfielders need to take note. If we apply some more midfield pressure, and include some specialist small defenders, we should be able to beat the Pies comfortably.

let our mate stevo read this... well has he made a tackle, smuther or shepard... someone should tell him he's just an ordinary player that needs to be more accountable... because that is all he is...

Houlihan has proven himself again one of the most limited players in the AFL- too stupid, lazy and selfish- poor decision making and doesn't do the one percenters/team things. Is being horribly played out of position again, and before everyone tells me we have no-one else, I say I'm certain we have at least someone who can not do more harm than good.

Needs to be dropped to send a message that more is expected from 160 game players

agree... if ratten is serious he will drop a big name player, not that houla or carrazzo is a big name player (but you get my drift)... at the end of the day.. we are 0-3... changes and messages to players need to be made now or we'll end up with another 100+ loss very soon... how these players can look at themselves in the mirror after they just sat and watch judd carry the team is shocking... scotland, houla, stevo, carra, russell all tucked their d1cks in between their legs in the last when the game need to be won... i'm still ____ing dirty..

Got it in 1. Goals conceeded in red time is killing us at the moment. We have to really work on this in the coming weeks.

I hate to say this but should we start shutting the game down late in a quarter when we are in a fairly good possition just like all the so called good teams are doing.

It's probably about time to give another youngster a go...Armfield in for mine, don't care that he hasn't been tearing it up in the Ants, bring him in and give him a role to do, he will go at it 100% which is what I want to see.

With you there Gilly. Give Army a go, otherwise no point in drafting a 21yo if he's not going to see senior action early on. Where has he been playing for the Ants? You start the petition and I'll sign it!
