Lishouk is an interesting pick.

Got some real height, and performed well last season, albeit in an average league.

Good scorer but is quite slow, apparently.

Hmm he must be Greek...so naturally biased I will say great pick ;)

Darius Rice, 6'10 athletic 3 pt shooting SF still available aswell.

Sato a Spur. Dunno much about him, help me out.

Apparently the Spurs tried to trade up for Nelson.

ROMAIN SATO
Position: SG
Class: Sr
School: Xavier (OH)
Conference: Atlantic 10
Ht., Wt.: 6'5, 205

BIO: Sato is a classic example of a player who players taller than his height. The 6-3 Sato averaged 8.0 rebounds in his senior season after playing four years at Xavier. Sato started all 130 games of his college career, but saw his scoring dip from his junior to senior season. Sato does most of his scoring inside and has shot 35 percent on 3-pointers each of the last two seasons. His biggest strength is his strength, which allows him to muscle bigger opponents on defense and on the glass. The native of the Central African Republic came to the United States not knowing a word of English before enrolling in high school in Dayton, Ohio.

ANALYSIS: Sato is one of the top athletes and leapers in this year’s draft. He is an outstanding rebounder for his size and a top defender. Sato needs to be a more consistent shooter. He measured smaller than expected in Chicago but his leaping ability and long wingspan allow him to play taller. He is a likely second-round pick.

POSITIVES: Sato is a physical specimen. He has huge biceps, a long wingspan and a set of legs that allow him to explode off the floor. His athleticism and strength allowed him to play like a power forward at the college level. That toughness should translate in the NBA in the form of defensive prowess. Sato has the ability to become a lock-down defender.

NEGATIVES: Offensively, Sato lacks NBA ability. His ballhandling needs improvement and his shooting is marginal. Furthermore, Sato measured just 6-2 without shoes at Chicago, three inches under his listed height. Any of those circumstances alone could slam the door shut on his NBA career.

PROJECTION: Reserve

Good scorer but is quite slow, apparently.

Strengths: A wonderful shooter out to at least international 3 point line. A capable driver who finishes tremendously. His good moves make up for lack of quickness on the offensive end. Has a good post up game. When overmatched physically in the post he does a good job of both fighting for position and flopping. Good frame and rebounding instincts.

Weaknesses: Defense, athleticism, and strength. Not quick at all, which although it does not hurt his offensive game, will prevent a full time move out to the wing. Lack of strength keeps him from posting up players his equal in size.

We'll probably get a Euro big man with our last pick and let him play there for a bit.

Don't forget we will probably have Mr. Luis Scola coming in.

Oh, and Sean 'the man' Marks will probably hang around.;) :D

Matty, Sato is an excellent slashing SG with a 6-10 wingspan. Possible lockdown defender in the pros. Will rebound with ferocity, and fit in with the Spurs quite nicely.

Sato woudlve been a borderline first round pick had he not measured 6'3.75 or something like that, everyone thought he was about 6'5.

Still he has a crazy 7 foot wingspan, great rebounder and scorer... leader... he is a player and a steal.

Started with pick 49 and ended with Andre Emmett, Antonio Burks and Sergei Lishouk.

I'm happy and out.

Suns.com: Do you have any regrets about leaving UCLA after one year to enter the NBA Draft?

Ariza: I feel that I’m doing what I’m supposed to do to get what I want and I feel that I’m doing a pretty good job at it. Everybody’s going to have their say, but I don’t let them determine what I do.
