Linga for sure, leader on the field and is a good bloke off the feild.

edit - I also think that Milburn for vice, and Scarlett and Joel Corey deputy and Leave King out to try get some form back.

To me Ablett, Scarlett and Chapman, those types seem to into themselves to be captain? Thats good in some ways but I dont really like that
 
give it to milburn for the next 2 years and then hand the role over to someone like ablett bartel or kelly as none of them are ready for it yet but are the type of guys who could really lead a club for 10 years like voss, hird, buckley etc.
as much as ling is a real central figure at the club and is a top player he is not going to win a game off his own boot and is more the sort of guy who puts in week in week out. in saying that it almost sounds like im describing darren milburn but whilst this description is what most people make of him i think he has something ling doesnt.
 
Yeh completly agree with ya about the Ablett, Bartel and Kelly scenario

I just dont see how Milburn can win a game of his own boot and Linga cant, would think its the opposite way around.

hmm i dunno how to put it but i just think linga lacks something. milburn is a really gutsy and inspiring player in the way he plays which i like.
 
The only thing I can see Milburn has more than Linga would be class, Think that Milburn is all class in the way he plays, in other attributes think Linga would just pip Milburn.
 
I would give it to Linga but agree he just lacks something. There is no-one at Geelong that is a matchwinner but also a great leader, which is one thing we do lack.

I have said it once, i will say it again... Matt McCarthy for Captain Coach.

It would also save some money around the club rather than having bomber around.

Cameron Ling has already assumed most of the on field leadership one would assume in our current form.
 
I'd really like to see cameron mooney in that leadership group

it would give him responsibility and he is inspiring and a born leader in the way he stands up for his team mates

worth a serious thought
 
Captain: Ling
Vice Captain: Scarlett
Deputy Vice Captain: Milburn

Simple reason, they are probably our 3 best and most consistent players. As much as Ablett, Kelly and Bartel have "talent", for me they are still not top class stars just yet. You need to produce every single week and right now they aren't doing that.
