nah i agree with yours and i used it but looks like smiddaz disagreed with me on 1 of my ratings thats all

Gumbleton 5/10
Jetta 7/10
Hislop 2/10 (gone)
Davey 8/10
Houli 7/10
Reimers 8/10

I think the jurry is still out on this one, put so far to date what you gave him id say is about right, because we have really seen nothing of him and it looks like it is highly likely that he could have an injury plagued career sadly, i watched his games from the Under 18's carnival, i had big wrapps on the kid to go on to be a star, is just a tradgedy what has become of his body.

In all fairness though. Last year, He Had 1 (maybe 2 my memory is hazy) Hamstring problems and the injury that kept him out for the rest of the year was a broken collar bone. Chuck in the fact he was right to play the last few games but the club had him on ice for 2009.

based on skills alone, my judgment of him is that he could become a very tallented Key Position player, but when you bring in the aspect of how well his body has coped at AFL level, you have to raise questions about whether he will make it.

I believe his skills are definately good enough from what i have seen of him, it is just a matter of will he hold up, even if he is right this season, i would not expect too much of him, as it will only be his third game of AFL? not sure if i am right or wrong saying that.

But i wish all the best for him, i hope the essendon medical staff down their can get his body all right for the long run.

what are you expecting of Lachlen Hansen this season?

Is he being moulded into a Forward or a Defender?

im hoping he will play every game and provide us with a good option up forward
all the reports im reading are saying that he is training as a CHF

Frawley - 6.5 - has shown exciting glimpses but is near the end of a long line of KPD's
Petterd - 8 - has shown that he is a very capable AFL player
Garland - 9 - Definitely top 10 from this draft
Weetra - -1billion - spud

Boak as well.

Gun.

Massively underrated too.

I was shocked to find him in the "16 players you've never heard of" article in the HS a few days ago. I guess its because he plays for an interstate club

He's easily #3 in the best performed from the '06 draft

I will do Eagles.

Brown-6- Looked great, then got injured.
Mackenzie-6.5- Looks like a very good kpd.
Houlihan-5.5- Needs to win more of the ball to utilize his attacking skill.
Schofield-7- Pick of ours to date imo, very good in defense, wing role awaits.
Thomson-1- Did stay on the list for two years i guess.

J-Mac-6.5- Promising on-baller, done well to date.

much appreciated :thumbsu:.

my aim is to hopefully get one for each club, preferably a supporter from the club writting it up.

then i will call the thread a success.

If your reading this thread, and your a supporter of a club which has not yet been done, please take a minute to write one for your team.

cheers.

Ok here is my review of Hawthorns draft.

Mitch Thorp - 2 - Injury riddled and hasn't really had a decent crack at it. Not writing him off just yet.
Brent Renouf - 6 - Showed a bit last year to take the 2nd ruck spot off Taylor.
Jarryd Morton - 6 - Showed promise in the 8 games he played last year.
Josh Kennedy - 2 - Looked a fair way off the pace in the games he has played.
Garry Moss - 1 - Played 1 game and got delisted.

I'll do Port for you

Travis Boak - 9/10 - at this stage. Wouldn't swap him for anyone to be honest.
Paul Stewart - 6.5 - Good athleticism, has shown that he is capable at AFL level and strung a lot of games together.
Nathan Krakouer - 6/10 - Brilliant kick, good composure, is just outside our first 22 at the moment.
Robbie Gray - 6/10 - worth way more than a 6 if he could stay fit. Good skills and vision
Justin Westhoff - 7.5/10 - Late pick and had instant impact. Reads the play very well and is a very intelligent forward. Needs some muscle
Ryan Williams - 1/10 - Pretty sure he was only drafted cos he was good mates with Boak. Played a couple of games and showed nothing really.
David Rodan - 8.5/10 - Fantastic pickup who has gotten rid of all the injury worries from his Richmond days and has become a solid contributer in the midfield. He sells candy like no other.

We pretty much won the 2006 draft. Only one dud, 4 starters and 2 on the fringe so far. 6/7 have the potential to be in our 22 for a long time.

I'm very happy with Essendon's draft. Hislop was a disappointment but the other 5 picks all look like they could be good. Other than Hislop there's nothing I'd change except taking Garland instead of Houli.

Personaly i think that is a little harsh on him, i would probably give him a 4/10, as he showed some fantastic potential at VFL level before getting injured, he had a real purple patch where he was kicking bags of 4+ goals week in week out, if he was playing for any other team at the time, he would have gotten an instant senior call up, because of roughhead and Franklin it was always going to be mission impossible for him to break in his first season or so, but he is a tallent, no doubt.

There isn't a player behind Jetta you'd rather?

In his first game back inot the ones, and playing on Harley who was coming back from injury himself in 2007, THORP kicked 6 or so goals from CHF.

The kids has the skills. Just got to keep his body right and takes his chance.
