I'm also going as about a month ago I made a $1500 purchase through a sports package for a Grand Final seat, and a ticket to the Geelong Grand Final Breakfast! A big gamble to take, but thank god it's paid off! To be honest, I wouldn't even care if we lost compared to if we lost tonight (albeit it's against either of my most hated teams). One of the longest nights of my life!!!

I'm also in the Member's lottery for another ticket (full paid member living in Hobart! ), that will be going to my dad who's a longtime supporter of the cats if I get it.

not me I am afraid as I only had an interstate membership. But the plasma is warming up and the beers cooling down. Congrats to all those who get a ticket in the ballot or are rich and can afford one of those packages.

yeah although this thread is a little about bragging and being happy there is no need to be an ahole to other Geelong people if they miss out.

Similarly no need to come into this thread and tell people you are a bigger fan and its not fair you missed out.

I hope everyone gets a ticket...I have spent the entire season in Boston whilst the boys have played so well. Only year since I was 19 (25 now) I havent been a member and I regret it. But I am coming home for the big dance, first time in 2 years - BRING IT ON!

Hoping ballot goes well for me if so it a road trip back to my old town fingers crossed....

In for 2 tickets with my dad will be my most treasured memory in life have waited 38 years for this.

Grand Final Tickets

I purchased two “Premium Hospitality” packages for the Grand Final. They cost me $2,500 each and now my team isn’t going to be there. I could still go along, but I figure a Cats fan who’s been waiting 40+ years might make better use of them. I’m not looking for a profit, just to get back as much as possible of what I paid.
These are “Premium” packages with 5 star dining in the Yarra Park Room inside the MCG, unlimited booze, plus all the trimmings. Seating is in the 2nd Tier of the Olympic Stand.

As a september member, I have to say Im glad I have got the add on. I noticed that a bit over $200 is now missing from my account so I guess that means I got a premium seat. Best of luck with all the supporters getting a ticket!!!

For those of you in the ballot with netbanking facilities - check you account this morning - I'm not a September member, but i was in the ballot for regular members and $600 came off my credit card last night - MY CREW ARE GOING TO THE GRANNY BABY!!!!!

The results of the ballot for grand final tickets for Geelong members will be posted to the website on Monday morning.

A total of 16,568 Geelong members registered for the ballot. The number of tickets available will be determined by the AFL once the Cats opponent is known.

Check out gfc.com.au on Monday and see if you have been drawn in the ballot.





If the above number is true, does that mean only 16,658 people all up applied or are they only counting the person who registered with a credit card? If it is the former and it is the total number, then I am assuming most people are going to get a ticket. If so bring that sh!t on!!!!

just checked my account and my 2 september members have come out of account at premium price tickets and i got one extra in the normal membership ballot at standard price!!!

checked about an hour ago, nothin had changed....checked again about 10 minutes ago and $320 was removed which i guess would be 2 standard seating!
