It's probably a good time to keep an updated tally of our membership figures.

According to the westofmoorabbin membership page (Link) we are slightly down on the same time last year but yet rate quite highly compared to most other Victorian clubs. Last year reserved seating was 98% sold out on level 1 and sold out with a considerable waiting list for level 2 so the club have released seating on level 3 near the Moorabbin Wing. We also have 2 more matches at Telstra Dome this season with the Tasmanian arrangement coming to an end. It's well worth buying a reserved seat and upgrading to a Social Club if you're a regular to our games.

We'll keep this thread updated for the rest of the pre-season and up until the membership cut-off at the end of June.

For those of you without a membership, buy your Saints membership here.

This year, considering I've got a new job and all, I am going to try to pay the international membership option, even though I won't use any of its benefits at all (except for knowing that I will be a member of the St Kilda Saints club). And I only pay for FC Barcelona, and my own aussie rules club which I'm captain of, so it's a pretty big deal for me. :P

Guess it's gonna be 23.001 then, hehe.

Good stuff Bluejay. :thumbsu:

We're almost at an identical position to where we were at the same time last year. Hopefully we can get off to a good start on the field and that more than anything else will help us push on and post another record membership figure.

29,451

Saints membership tally according to the official site.

I will be happy if the saints each 34,000. Even if St.kilda win every game until June i can't see them reaching their very optimistic target of 40,000. However, there is every chance the saints record in memberships will be broken this year (that would be sweet)

30, 353 - we are within 2000 of our all time record! When is the closing date for getting memberships? Date in june?

Strange, for a small membership base you know how to attract the supporters to grab a membership.

Probably the highest Victorian team with the percentage of their supporters signed up?? Surely.

I think WB and North have that title.

I think you underestimate the size of our supporter base a little.

In terms of supporter numbers out of the Victorian teams we'd be behind Collingwood, Essendon, Carlton and probably Richmond and at the very least on a par with the likes of Geelong and Hawthorn.

If bigfooty registrations are a guide, we'd be well down the list. That's just a feeling but I'll try to get some figures when time permits.

Isn't that due to the popular 'saintsational' forums, for many clubs bigfooty is the biggest online forum for their club, just look at North Melbourne's forum.

On St.kilda's supporter base, i think they may be ahead of Geelong at least, maybe not Hawthorn...

"But Van Beek and Morris believe they can harness up to 400,000 supporters nationally who cannot all get to a game"

That is nationally, not sure about in Victoria alone.

This is a list of supported clubs from bigfooty new users for the last two years.
