Would rather keep him, looking to improve in the small forward department and maybe a tall half back to replace Milburn, when he goes

Tall Half Back = Jaymie Graham

Small Forwards = Sampi (In trade talks with Saints), Armstrong, Morton, McKinley

Saints make Hansen Offer

Saint Kilda have offered West Coast Xavier Clarke, Rap Clarke and pick 26 for tall forward Ash Hansen and disgruntled small forward Ashley Sampi.

Eagles turn down Saints offer

The eagles today turned down St Kilda's offer for Ashley Hansen and Ashley Sampi saying that "We rate hansen highly and the only reason we are looking to trade him is because we will have to many tall forwards. Sampi when he has his mind and body on the game can be a star. Both of the Clarke's dont interest the Eagles as there would be no spot for them on our list even as a back-up player we have plenty of their type already"

West Coast today stated that they are chasing the signature of Melbourne forward Russell Robertson and will now officially approach Melbourne about Robbo. They want to hear from melbourne as what they would want for him.

TALKS BROKEN DOWN

"Talks have ceased between Carlton and West Coast regaurding the services of Chris Judd. It looks as if the Blues are unable to meet West Coast's needs, and Chris Judd may be on the open market to any club in the AFL. Its a sad day for all"

West Coast will accepts St Kildas offer of Pick 9 in the upcoming draft for Ashley Hansen and Ashley Sampi ONLY IF a trade can be reached between Carlton and West Coast for Judd. The Eagles will get back to St Kilda shortly regarding their offer.

PRESS RELEASE FROM CARLTON

"After long negotiations the following decisions has been made by the Carlton heirarchy..

Picks 3 and 20 and Bower will be traded to West Coast. Jarryd Waite however has been talked about in other trades and it has come to the realisation that he is worth far too much too to trade in this situation. In conclusion, Carlton will trade a further one player to West Coast: Adam Bentick, Josh Kennedy, Ryan Houlihan, Adam Hartlett or Simon Wiggins."

Judd talks continue with Carlton

West Coast are dissapointed that Carlton did not agree to adding Waite to pick 3 and 20. Therefore West Coast are now asking for pick 3 and 20 along with Bradley Fisher. The offer of 3 + 20 + Bower + picking one of a list of players has been thrown out the window by the Eagles.

"Bradley Fisher is a vital part of the Carlton Forward line, and in a team starved of talls, currently (until i trade for some talls) he is off the market. At a later date however, Brad may be readded to the list.
There may possibly be a need to introduce a third party into the frame to ensure i have adequate cover for Brad Fisher. Carlton hopes an arrangement with another club for a KP player can be met soon to finalise the Chris Judd deal"

West Coast join Carlton in search for a third party.

West Coast want to fulfil Chris Judd's wish of going to Carlton and due to an aggrement being unable to be reached so far a third party would be appreciated so that Carlton are able to trade Brad Fisher to the Eagles and the 3rd club compensate a tall to Carlton. If a club would like to become the third party then please post in the original thread so both the Eagles and Carlton Football Clubs are made aware.

Saint Kilda willing to join Party

Saint Kilda have announced they are willing to become a third team in Trade talks between Carlton and West Coast. Given that they can get a good deal out of it.

BIG NEWS AT BLUE LAND

The following players have asked to leave the Carlton Football Club and persue their AFL careers elsewhere. Carlton, although hesitant, will be willing to release these players in exchange for a proven KP player, back or forward

The players include:
Adam Bentick - the AFL's 4rd leading tackler in 2007, a young in and under hard nut with polished ball skills. Would suit any side looking for a bit of grunt and a player to supply silky outside midfielders
Ryan Houlihan - a silky finisher who will hit any forward lace out if given a yard of pace. Had a career best year in 2007 and still has a lot of footy left in him
Jordan Russell - Drafted at number 7 in the 2005 stella draft, Jordan began making an impact in the senior team last in 2007. The pacey midfielder/half back looks to be maturing and would be a great assest to teams lacking pace. Was as U18 All Australin Half back.
Adam Hartlett - Drafted in the low 20's, Adam has had an interupted AFL career to date. Injured thoughout 2006 and returning in 2007, he played his best game against Fremantle snagging 3 goals and taking 8 marks. He is a thumping kick and a player capable of playing in defence or up forward. Was an All Australian U18 CHF.
