We all know we have a promising list with a lot of upside - and the youngsters are all imporving faster than we thought they would - Tambling, Cotchin, White, Edwards, Reiwoldt Schulz, etc are all looking like being decent players if not better.

In fact, with the way those guys have improved, we should have improved from last season - but Deledio looks like he's turned the corner, Brown is looking fabulous, King menacing, Richo an out and out star. In fact we've come so far, that we should be at at least 5-6 wins, and not just 3.5.

That is why people are negative and angry. But don't worry people, there's a lot more improvement to come.

C'mon Sante, people have just asking questions

We have been shit for so long, so where just use to "critiqueing" our own players ;)

I prefer to stay positive - some people love having something to whinge about. The baggers won't enjoy our sucess as much as those of us who have been supportive.

A better stat:

2007 after 9 rounds - 0 wins
2008 after 9 rounds - 3.5 wins

And for (probably) 23 of the last 25 years: % around 80.
2008 after 9 rounds - % = >100.:thumbsu:

2007 after 22 rounds - 3.5 wins
2008 after 9 rounds - 3.5 wins

So, why are so many of you still so angry and negative?

You mean "realistic"....y'know it's great that after all these years you try to stay positive and all ...but there's a fine line between "positive" and "delusional"...and I think you, among others, cross that line frequently...seriously, some of you around here need to get a grip , before you end up taking gold jackets to games....:o

Biggest danger to clubs performance going forward is getting ahead of themselves - eg Richmond after 2001, Fremantle now etc.
I therefore like to think of it more as keeping the pressure (lid) on, not whinging.

I agree some people here are totally delusional totally overrating our youngsters and overlooking our deficiencies. The fact is this game is about finals and winning premierships and thats how i judge the team.Im looking at deficiencies that need to be ironed out in order for the team to improve.Being satisfied with average performances is just accepting that the team will always be middle of the road.

Not accepting but aware of how bad we were in 2007 and years before that and that the rebuilding process takes a long time.

Those bagging the club/players/coaches etc. are the unrealistic supporters because you want/think we can get success NOW.

Spot on. In the last 3 years we have turned over all most the complete list.
