Interesting. I'd rather be rated lower, so that we surprise everyone. ;)

I wouldn't worry about that Shibz. The media and most of the other AFL fans seem to dislike our club and they don't rate us. With the Commetti kiss of death we'll be in a postition of "non rated" for next season IMO.

Yours would probably be a more accommodating fit I'm guessing.

Maybe you could try you Auntie's! You'd have to help her move the jatz crackers out of the way first of course.

...and nothing to say after you run out of the party line...
Carry on.

Honestly, if you can say the Dockers injury problems in 2007 are remotely comparable to the Eagles, then you seriously have problems.

We seriously underachieved. Even with our best team on the park we still did not show consistency. Our home form was carp. I have serious doubts over Sandliands in the ruck. It always seems the opposition read him better than we do.

Our two best midfielders in Bell and Hase* are not going to be there in 2008. So 9-1 is an absolute joke.

Saying that I have no doubt we will make the 8 next year. It is such an even competition that there are numerous teams around the same mark. I would say 10 teams. So already these teams could be at 10-1. Geelong are clear favourites probably for the next two years. So that should extend the other teams out to around 11-1. The Eagles, Port, Adelaide, Adelaide probably deserve second line betting at around 7-1 which should push the rest out to around 13-1. Given the Dockers have only ever played 3 finals, have a new coach, and lose a couple of players I would say that 15-1 would be a fair price. 9-1 is ludacrous.

It wasn't necessarily injuries that made is so crap this season though. It was more suspensions and being undisciplined.

How exactly did they have less problems than us?

they lost Cousins for most of the season, We lost Shammer & Longmuir for most of it , Peake & Thornton for a lot of it and Sandi for half the season who carried a groin from round 2.

Farmer played just 6 1/2 games - mainly self inflicted.

Take your two experienced rucks and the two fastest midfielders out of any team and it has to have an effect.

How many times did they start without two of Judd, Cousins & Kerr in the team?

Round 12 (Saints - loss)
Round 13 (Crows - win)
Round 15 (Port - 91 point loss)
Round 20 (Tigers - win)
Round 22 (Bombres - win)
Semi final (Pies - loss)
The only game where they were without all three was the last one.

Lynch
Braun
Priddis
Hunter
Glass
Seaby
B Jones
Hurn

Played every game ,

R,Jones & Selwood missed one
Rosa missed two
Cox , Staker Wirra & Stenglien missed three

As I said earlier midfielders are their strength , one misses they bring in Fletcher.

We are really keen to allow teams other than ourselves slack regarding injury.

I get sick of the "injuries are not an excuse" people who in the next breath use that excuse for other teams.

You can't have it both ways.
