The away top with the camouflage bib. The home one is fine. The display of it on a mannequin torso however is silly. Would have been better to have one of the boys show it off. Hopefully for our supporters sake, the supporter version isn't as tight fitting. I give it :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu: :thumbsu::thumbsd: four out of five.

I'm also glad we've gone back to the full hoops.

I think its good bringing back a more original standard geurnsey simmilar to the one that we used from 91 to 2005. The good thing is that the hoops go all around the side again because I didn't like the cut off down the sides very much used in 06,07 and 08. The only thing I don't really like is the yellow collar, its in fact awful. That should be dark blue. Really we should have bought back the original geurnsey used from 91 to 2005 minus the yellow collar.

I've been looking for the 2008 home guernsey in EVERY sports store I see but never find one in my size (well, I'm struggling to find any at all) - and I FINALLY have! If anyone else is wanting one instead of the bib one - the website that sells AFL store merchandise (which is inthegrandstand.com.au) has some! :thumbsu: I'm not sure if that means the AFL Stores here have some in stock though .

Just saw this in the shop, and to be honest I'm pretty undecided. For what its worth, I actually didn't mind the guernsey displayed on the Crowmania website. However, the actual top looks quite different to this. The collar doesn't seem to stand out as much. The duck bill type thing is made out of a mesh, and is smaller than I thought. Also, the blue vertical stripes on our current guernsey that seemed to have disappeared on the Crowmania image, still actually exists on the final product. Its hard to explain, but these are different to the current stripes. There almost like triangle cut outs on either side, thats seperated by stitching. They're not entirely blue either, they got the hoops through them aswell, but dont entirely line up with the front and the blue section takes up the majority of this, so keeps that blue look. Didn't take a great look at back to be honest, so cannot comment, but it looked like it followed these side "panels" (dnno what to call them) moreso.

Overall, as I stated I'm quite undecided. It definately looks kinda crowded
(No pun inteded). But the final product looks very different to the picture displayed on that site. I didn't really take a great look at it, so I'm sure theres some mistakes with my thoughts. I'm sure theres an image that displays these things better out there.

Also, the away guernsey is almost identical, but looks a lot sharper. Really liked the look of this. Hasn't changed much at all, except it has these "panels" on the side aswell, but these are pure red. So its just two sections seperated by stitching, but for some reason I really liked it. Did it have these before?

I went to the AFL store to have a look, gotta say, i'm not a fan. The yellow duck bill pocket looks weird, they could have just made the trim yellow and made the pocket navy. Round necks are obviously the go, the Reebok ones are the same, very much like sleeveless Rugby jerseys now.

I also preferred the blue panels of the last few years, made our players look bigger, this one has a v shaped front panel as well but the hoops obviously go right round, i don't get the red line that comes from the front around the back.

The away crow jumper still looks terrible.

The "Ducks bill" or "Bib" is an adidas thing and is designed to soak up the majority of sweat from the chest area giving the guernsey a lighter & more comfortable feel to the players.

Probably helps the aerodinamics or something rediculous also. reminds me of the FILA strips in 2002

Correct me if I am wrong, but isn't the neck pocket designed to hold the GPS chip, in place of players wearing those bulky blue vests under the jumper?

I really liked the 'shield' design with the blue strips.

Saying that I think this new gurnsey aint to bad. Will be interesting to see if they wear those really tight guernseys all year or its just an experimental thing?

Sorry...that yellow thing looks awful. I have just been bagging Port's away jumper...am I in for it now!:(

Geez I can't beleive so many people care.

LMAO - quote of the day! :thumbsu: Do people just buy the guernsey every time it changes??? My little bloke has had one for two years and has "almost" grown out of it. At the prices they are, that's the ONLY reason I'd buy a new one.

Same. Up until last season I still wore a guernsey that had the old AFL logo on it. I'm guessing circa 1998. I still wear it sometimes and only last season did I buy a new one which was the clash guernsey as I was in Adelaide. I won't buy another one for a very long time.

I'm shocked you guys got rid of the blue side stripes, they made your guernsey look much better IMO.

The Yellow neck thing will look a lot better on field IMO, but probably doesn't make for a great thing for a fan to wear around. That said, it doesn't matter when you have so many supporters, you'll sell truckloads anyway.

That said they have replaced the shield design with some sort of checkered thingo.

Looks like a computer glitch on a computer screen if that makes sense.

no it probably doesnt, but neither does its existance on our guernsey either.

I wouldn't say I am fat slightly over weight by about five kilos and I am not even going to try!

The jumpers have always been at least 2-3 sizes smaller than the labels IMO

I am a XL in clothing size and I am lucky to get near a XXXL jumper and forget being able to wear it over a top.

I dunno mate, the Adidas guernsey's are pretty big sizes, got one the other day and the large is huge, if you're XL normally, the XL should easily be big enough, I normally cycle between M and L and the L is almost too big for me.

They could have done the Guernseys similar to the 2006/07 Heritage round ones. Now they looked awesome. Oh well, as long as the boys do good this year it won't matter what they're wearing!
